Superswamp Steve

About Me

Hi! My name's Steve Senes. I'm a guitarist in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. I play guitar with a few bands in the area. First and foremost, I play with Superswamp Heroes who, taking elements of various genres of Classic Rock (especially Southern Rock) and combining them with heavy guitar riffs, pounding grooves and soulful, heartfelt vocals creates a unique and memorable sound, one you're sure to dig! We recently completed our first full length CD in Nashville, TN, called "The Truth" and will be releasing it shortly. Keep checking back here for more info as it becomes available. Also, check out the band's myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/superswampheroes for all the latest info and, if you see we're going to be near you, come on out and party with us. We guarantee you'll have a kick ass time! Swamp Style!

Also, I play with an acoustic act called Pale Horse, along with a very talented singer named Frank Braddock and another killer guitarist named Johnny Caines. This band plays all acoustic covers of both classic and modern rock. Applying electric techniques to an acoustic trio creates an interesting sound and a sure-fire good time. You can catch us on Thursdays at Bully's, at Barefoot Landing. Come on out and see us, and buy a brotha a Coors Light ;-)

Additionally, I'm working on my first instrumental guitar CD. If you're familiar with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc, then you know the genre. The CD is a very diverse group of songs, covering a bunch of genres I've picked up over the years playing with different cover music gigs. From Metal to Jazz, to Funk, it's all there.

This is a project I'm doing completely on my own, from all the instrumentation, to the mixing, engineering, etc. I'm writing as I go, so it's a slow process. The songs in the player above are all from the new CD, which will be called "A Taste Of Logic". As I get decent mixes of the other stuff, I'll also be posting them here for you to check out. If you listen and dig what you hear, drop me a line & lemme know - I'd love to hear from ya!
In the meantime, come see one of my other bands. Life's too short, let's have a good time!

Rusty Bruton - Vocals
Steve Senes - Guitar, Vocals:

Jiggy Josh Pierce - Drums

Influences:Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Blackfoot, Travis Tritt, Mountain, Aerosmith, Kiss, Pride & Glory, Black Label Society, Mike Rogers, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Ram Jam, Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, Jake E. Lee, Yngwie Malmsteen, Pablo Gilberto, and many, many, many more..............
Sounds Like: What if Malcolm Young, Ace Frehley, Ron Wood, The Reverend Willie G and Warren Haynes were hanging out in the swamps of South Carolina, drinking a load of Bud Light, Jim Beam and Homemade Wine, and writing some songs? Zakk Wylde's just finished shooting his Santa Clause ad for Musicians Friend and brings over a pile of Marshall stacks. HoHoHo! Well, with Zakk there, inevitably, the beer runs out, so they call their old buddy Ricky Medlocke and tell him to grab a few cases on his way over. Occasionally Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels and their new pal Paul Gilbert would pop their heads in too. Leslie West's on a new diet, so he couldn't make it, but emails his parts in.

The result would be Modern Hard Rock with definite Southern roots. Something new. Some might call it the NEW Southern Rock. We call it Superswamp Heroes.
