Get this video and more at MySpace.com Mike Rogers was born into music. By the age of five he had taken an interest in the guitar. After taking on the guitar, he moved on the bigger and louder things...DRUMS. This is were Mike really took off musically. With influences from Prince and Ricky Skaggs,he would practice with anything from hair brushes to forks. By the age of 10 he was "drumming" in his dad's country band. By 14 he was ready to branch out and started his own band, Perfect Tommy. Mike played in Perfect Tommy till after he graduated from high school, when he was asked to try out for Liberty Records recording artist Charlie Floyd. This is were he got his first taste of touring and "the road." Soon after in 1995 Mike left Charlie Floyd to perform at "The Carolina Opry" Here ,he not only played drums, but accoustic guitar and sang background harmonies as well. Also, while at the Opry, Mike started writing with former member of Firehouse, Perry Richardson. This is where he got his first break with song writing. He had 5 of his songs published and performed on Firehouse's Category 5 album. The road bug soon caught up with Mike and in 2002 he packed up the wife and kids and headed to Music City,USA. Here he became the drummer for Lyric Street Records recording artist Kevin Denney. What a ride it was! When that tour ended Mike headed back to Myrtle Beach for about a year when Broken Bow Records artist Craig Morgan came hollerin'. This time the ride with Craig has been a wild one. Mike is Craig's drummer, accoustic guitar player, background singer and band leader. Mike has toured all over the US, played for Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and has made two trips to Iraq and Kuwait on USO tours. It's been a long journey, but it's just getting started so sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!Mike plays Peace Drums,Sabian cymbals and Simba drum sticks.
