About Me

My name is Antonis Filis and i come from Athens Greece.I am playing the drums and a bit of trumpet.I started playing drums when i was 15 years old. I enrolled at the Phillipos Nakas Conservatory of music where i studied drums for a year. When i was 19 years old i decided that music was the goal of my life so i decided to study the drums more seriously.I studied for 1 year at the Mousiki Praxi School of Music and then for 3 years at Phillipos Nakas conservatory.There i learned to play many different styles like jazz ,funk latin ,rock fusion and afrocuban.I also practised privately trumpet for one and a half year.I have collaborated with several Greek artits as Stamatis Gonidis ,Basilis Terlegas , Sotis Volanis,Giorgos Lempesis,Nondas Antonopoulos,cuambatrio and many more.I enjoy playing jazz ,funk, rock ,pop and other.Whenever i have free time i always try to go and see live music , something that always give me a lot of pleasure.I also try to study the drums many times a week ,so that i can be in good shape and be in a positive mood.I love all things that come from africa because Africa is the mother of many things including music.Some scientists say that all the world derives from africa. I hope that someday life in the whole world will be as true as it is in some villages in Africa.
