My life is about creation. I live, work, and breathe art, music, and craft. On my site you will see a glimpse of my creations....My work was originally created as a result of my own style, tastes, interests, and memories of childhood passions. With the encouragement and inspiration of Joe, the love of my life, and beloved friends, I am finding myself diving into different avenues of creative expression. The newest addition are my "Modern Monkey Design", sock monkeys. From my childhood love of a simple sock monkey given to me by my nana, my love for the toy never died. As a child I made my own monkeys, sewed simple clothing for my monkeys and even embellished them with yarn hair. Only recently have I returned to sewing and creating these special and unique toys. Sock monkeys have been around forever, but I am creating my own "modern" renditions of this childhood love. On my site you'll see just a glimpse of my monkeys...My art, which you can find in "my pictures" are icon portraits which combine cut paper, colored foam paper, foam core, and fabric that is glued and layered to create my own "pop" art style.
