Comprised of husband and wife disc jockeys Bazooka Joe (aka Joe Diddley) and XTINE16 (aka Sweet Little Sixteen), The Thing With Two Heads are well established in the world of primitive rock'n'roll. Having had residencies in New York City with gigs in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, St. Louis, Reno, Boston, Washington D.C. and Baltimore under their collective belt, this torrid tag-team has also spun their wares at some of the world's top garage rock shows featuring such seminal acts as the A-Bones, Action Swingers, Black Lips, Cheater Slicks King Khan & BBQ Show, Little Killers, Reigning Sound, Sonic Chicken 4, Swingin' Neckbreakers and many others, as well as showcases for legendary trash-rock labels Crypt Records and Norton Records.So what exactly is it that makes The Thing With Two Heads so goddamned good? After all, they're just DJ's, right? I guess, if all DJ's entire collections were comprised of 100% top-shelf vinyl records running the gamut of party music from the mid-50's through late-60's (*detailed list below), and then tapered off (to avoid the drek) until the punk rock explosion of the mid 70's and continued on to contain obscure noise-garage records that just came out last week.
