About Me

The Wang Dang Doodle is a groovy record hop hosted by DJ Phast Phreddie the Boogaloo Omnibus , New York City's bossest DJ. Event can have any kind of music he so desires: soul, funk, R&B, rockabilly, jazz, rock and roll, ska, doo wop, exotica, surf, mambo, cumbia and assorted weirdness. Almost always the music will date before 1972.

Past Wang Dang Doodles have featured such fabulous guest DJs as Dave the Spazz (Music to Spazz By), Rex Doane (Fool's Paradise), Lenny Kaye (Nuggets, Patti Smith Group), Billy Miller (Norton), Gaylord Fields (The Gaylord Fields Show), Mr. Fine Wine (Downtown Soulville, Bumpshop), Philthy Phil (SPQR, Templars), $mall Â¢hange (Blackcrack, Rubulad), Switched on Audrey (California) and Juke Joint Jonny (Goofballs).

THE WANG DANG DOODLE is held on the second Friday of the month at The Ottoman Lounge (318 Grand Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NYC).
Phast Phreddie the Boogaloo Omnibus always wears a fez at The Ottoman Lounge.
