About Me

Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu Buddhist, sufi, or zen. Not any religionor cultural system. I am not from the East or the West, not out of the ocean or upfrom the ground, not natural or ethereal, not composed of elements at all. I do not exist,am not an entity in this world or in the next, did not descend from Adam and Eve or anyorigin story. My place is placeless, a trace of the traceless. Neither body or soul.I belong to the beloved, have seen the two worlds as one and that one call to and know, first, last, outer, inner, only that breath breathing human being.-Rumi

My Interests

reading, writing, learning, unlearning, snowboarding, bike rides of all kinds, being a ninja, trespassing, yoga, working, schooling, wishing i played instruments better, finding the underlying constant that moves and is the universe, chillaxing, sitting in silence, any and all adventures, and eventually being content with doing and being nothing

I'd like to meet:

anyone who can stay gold

Music:

anything with heart and soul and maybe a nasty guitar squeal.

Movies:

waking life, stand by me, ravenous, scanner darkly, the producers, the goonies, who doesnt ;like the ninja turtles, garden state, office space, dumb and dumber, harry potter, there's a lot of good movies out there and i have less loathing for movies than tv, but i'd still rather be reading a book

Television:

simpsons mmm, maybe some more. i mostly like thinking for myself though and not being programmed and brainwashed by a glowing box. (not to sound condescending or self glorifying) shut up.

Books:

Stranger In a Strange Land, all Tolkien, all Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Salinger, Rilke, Hesse, Rumi, Orwell, Bradbury, Frost, cummings, Twain, Dan simmons, Castenada, Kundera, C.S. Lewis, Neruda, Harry Potter, My Side of the Mountain, The Outsiders, The Little Prince, Chris Van Allsburg, Dickinson, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Orson Scott Card, Things Fall Apart, Fitzgerald, sartre, The Bible, The Way of Life, The Fountainhead, Life of Pi, The Odyssey, and many many more that i regret terribly for not remembering and infinitely many more that i have yet to know or read

Heroes:

all the people living and unliving that have found the really real,

Satisfaction: part 11

Right then my heart, my soul, my thought stopped. An unseasonal bee, just leaving after its meal from an unseasonal daisy, stopped. A drop of swear that just lost its perch on my brow, in midair, stop...
