Influences:LAUREN DE MIRANDA A new voice has arrived in pop music. With a passionate voice and energetic stage presence, Lauren de Miranda is quickly making waves with her unique blend of pop and rock. As an unsigned artist, her single “New Life†began receiving regular radio play on Top 40 stations and can now be heard on the hit online game “Audition,†which has 300 million subscribers worldwide. Her journey as a dancer began in the Western Arkansas ballet, which lead to a stint in the internationally acclaimed Joffrey Ballet. However, her vocal demos caught the attention of Run DMC Productions, of hip-hop fame. They recruited her to join their new girl group Calico and she soon moved to Hollywood. Although her brief time with the group was a great learning experience, she quickly realized that her true ambition was to make music that was totally personal to her own life. After finding her voice and sound, Lauren took a month off to work on her solo debut with Los Angeles hit production company Mark Jackson Productions, who have worked with Eminem, Josh Kelley, and Nancy Sinatra. Their collaboration has yielded several great songs including “New Life,†“How Long,†and the radio ballad “Complicate Me.†She plans to release the album later this year.
