Population Lost

About Me

Myspace Layout Generator by TheMyspaceLayout.com
We are Population Lost formed in 2002 from the ashes of a short lived ska/punk band the Skankin' Grannies.Travelling far and wide for the last six years we've taken our unique sound all around England, Wales and Ireland, where we rocked out a 5 day tour. Described as many as one of the countries finest underground punk rock bands we draw influences from all the music we listen to individually and transform it into a fast paced, driving, collective wall of noise that is Population Lost. The quartet are made up of: Newt, Ad, Ste and Titch provide anthemic riot tunes to make you drink faster, pogo higher and singing quicker than a Ramone. Our songs are all instant classic punk rock tracks, and are driven by raw emotion, passion and the belief that through our songs we can spread our socially aware attitude to fans old and new alike. The band signed to Party House records in 2007 and are working on there second album, which is due for relases mid 2008.
Here are some comments on what people have said about us so far........

The town of the infamous crooked spire seems to have infused it's twisted persona into this bands quirky musical style - the surprisingly crisp PA system allows this visually engaging band to exploit their fuzzy, energetic, frentic and very english sound to the max, with serious elements of Britpunk influences such as Snuff, Goober Patrol, Leatherface and even a strange but mot unpleasent taste of the Levellers, mixed the energy and the brevity of US Hardcore - Descendents, Angry Samoans, and in their more adventerous and diverse moments, even aspiring to the heights of Articles of Faith and Naked Raygun. It's not really anything you haven't hard before, but if you like a decidedly anti-commercial, anti-authoritarian and unpredictable edge to your punk, this is done so well it's definitely worth catching if you can.
