Hi There,
Welcome to the SCP myspace page. This page is dedicated to promoting all the fucking awesome punk bands that Sheffield has to offer. This page will have links to all the bands that hail from this great city and will hopefully turn into a promotions company and record label in the future.
For now though it will just be a place of information for bands and fans alike. You will be able to see all the upcoming gigs from all SCP bands, hear selected tracks in the player and read any news and views in the blog section.
Incase you haven't worked it out yet, My name is Dan and I play in a band called 5FD. Although I set this page up on my own it can't succeed without everyone pitching in and helping to maintain and promote it, so whether you're a fan, a promoter or in a band... GET INVOLVED! The reason I created this page is because I am so sick of how shit the Sheffield scene is at the minute - I'm sick of playing in the same venue to the same 5 people every week and I'm sure other bands feel the same way - I think things can be changed for the better with a bit of unity and some effort.
Bands [Read this please] - If you are in a band and want to be featured on this page then please get in touch via myspace message. We will only feature bands from Sheffield and the surrounding areas (Rotherham, Worksop, Doncaster, Barnsley and Chesterfield) and your band needs to be willing to pitch in and help. DIY Ethics are what we are looking for! Please keep me informed with changes and updates via bulletins or messages. If you have flyers for gigs please message them to me so I can feature them on the main page - don't put them in comments because they will stretch the page and piss me off.
Fans [Read this please] - If you are a fan of punk bands and you live in Sheffield (or surrounding areas) please add us to your friends so we can keep you up-to-date with bulletins and messages. Please only add us if you actually want to go to gigs and support the SCP bands. I have no time for time wasters and posers.
Promoters [If there are any of you left] - Please add us to your friends and keep me informed of all your upcoming gigs so I can post them on the gigs section. Also If you are looking to book any of the SCP bands you can find all the info you need on this page!.....Now that you've read the old bit, I'll add my bit! I'm Grace, and recently I've been running this thing. Danny has been uber busy, so I stepped in to help! I'm mainly a Photographer, but am so into my punk that I was more than happy to help out. If any of you guys want photos doing, let me know! I'm determined to get some life injected into the rotting music scene around here. I hope you can all help us do that! Anyway, you're more than likely to see me at a Rotherham or Sheffield punk gig. Usually pissed up and telling everyone to add SCP as a friend!

5FD are a 3 peice band that was started back in 2002. 5FD play 100mph pop punk with huge doses for comedy in a similar vain to NOFX, Lagwagon and early Blink 182.

ASHOE are a 5 peice technical hardcore band who are apparently proud to be sellouts. Armed with a nerdy sense of humour and riffs that will blow you away. For fans of No Trigger, Set Your Goals and A Wilhelm Scream.

BURNSUBVERTDESTROY (BSD) are a hardcore DIY punk band based in Sheffield, UK. We play straight up angry punk rock mixing, or at least attempting to, elements of classic UK82 hardcore punk with a healthy dose of anarcho anger and sentiment and a small nod to old school US hardcore.
