I Was Approaching Retirement Age

But Didn't Have Enough Money to Retire.

It Looked Like I Would Be Working the Rest of My Life.

Now I Am Living The Life of My Dreams.

Hi, this is Scott Hubbard,

creator of http://www.StartSlowFinishRich.com/ . Yes, what you just read is true. As I approached my retirement age, I had a strong desire to retire from my Corporate JOB (Just Over Broke) but did not have enough money to do that.

After years in Corporate America, I was not experiencing the life of my dreams and found myself in a place of being spread too thin; I was emotionally drained, unfocused, and trying to help others achieve their dreams rather than my own. Maybe you can relate to that no matter how old you are.

It was a scary situation for me. It looked like I would have to work at a job for the rest of my life. It made me sick just thinking about that.

I could have given up and applied for a job greeting people at Walmart. But I knew, deep down, that something great was in store for me. Although I had a successful business career, I always felt that I could do so much more. I believed that I had not come anywhere close to achieving my purpose for being on this earth.

Fortunately, I did not give up. I had spent several years studying personal development, marketing, and working with people. I still had so much more to learn. But it was during this time that I uncovered the keys to achieving success. Learning the power of proper mindset and growing in my understanding of effective marketing would completely chang my life forever.

I began focusing on building, empowering, and inspiring lives to reach their potential. I began achieving the success I dreamed of. I would never return to Corporate America!! I was on my way to achieving wealth and abundance.

So why am I writing this to you? Well, maybe you are in the same position I was in. Maybe you are ready to retire but can't afford to. If you are still willing to work hard, continue to learn, and feel that the best is yet to come in your life, then maybe, through our discussions, I can help you.

Or maybe you are not close to retirement age but just want out of the grind of working a regular job. Maybe you want your spouse to not work so hard or maybe quit that job forever. Maybe you just want to spend more time with your family. The keys to achieving success work no matter what your age.

You see, I feel that each of us has within ourselves the infinite power, knowledge, and wisdom to achieve whatever we really want in life. I feel that once we align ourselves with this power within us, we can create the prosperity in our lives we deserve.

But we must make a choice. If we truly want more for ourselves - if we want to reach our true potential, then we must draw upon this infinite power and commit ourselves to doing what it takes to achieve our dreams.

So Who In The World Is Scott Hubbard?....

My wife, Trish, and I live in Tampa, FL. We have been married for 37 years. We have two grown children, Josh and Jessica, both adopted from Cali, Colombia in South America.

I grew up in Nashville, TN (God's country) and later went to college at Vanderbilt University. After graduating, I had a tour as an officer in the United States Navy. My tour included two trips to the Mediterranean Sea, an extended stay in New York City, and some nice visits to ports in the Caribbean Sea. I really enjoy traveling and have visited most of the states in the USA. I have a strong desire to some day return to Europe and other locations overseas.

After serving in the Navy, I went to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN and got my Masters in Finance and Accounting. After graduating I passed the CPA exam and started my career as an accountant at GENESCO, a wearing apparel company.

I mention GENESCO because that is where I met Trish. She was from Shelbyville, TN, about 50 miles southeast of Nashville. By the way, Shelbyville is the Walking Horse Capitol of the World. She had recently graduated from Memphis University in Memphis, TN and had been hired by GENESCO as a programmer.

My department needed a software program done for us. I was given the responsibility of coordinating the program on the accounting side and, of course, Trish was assigned to do the programming. The program was completed successfully, but more important to me, Trish and I were married about one year later.

We had much in common. Church was an extremely important part of our lives. We were both very close to our families. We loved to travel and have been on some great vacations over the years. We loved animals. In fact, when we started dating, one of Trish's greatest possessions was a Miniature Schnauzer puppy, Misty. That beloved little dog was our child for 13 years.

Every few years, I received promotions within GENESCO - Assistant Controller, Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President of Finance for a conglomerate of companies. We moved to beautiful Knoxville, TN and later to Cheshire, CT. We lived in New England for over 9 years and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We loved the beautiful foliage and scenery in all the New England states, skiing in Vermont, Broadway plays in New York City, and plays, symphonies, and Red Sox games in Boston. More than anything, we just loved the people we met there.

It was during our time in Connecticut that we adopted Josh. Trish and I traveled to Colombia to get him. He was 9 months old when we brought him home. I have to say that Josh was probably the cutest baby I have ever seen. Of course, I am not biased.

Three years later I was transferred to Lexington, KY, and it was there that we adopted Jessica. She was 17 months old when we got her. Two years later we were back in Nashville. We have now lived in Tampa, FL for over 10 years.

My Interests and Hobbies....

We are still doing the things we have always enjoyed. We are very active in our church and we still enjoy traveling.

One of my biggest hobbies is gardening. I pride myself in having a well-landscaped yard. I particularly enjoy growing rose bushes. I have had vegetable gardens - anywhere from a 10' x 10' garden all the way to a 50' x40' plot in Connecticut. Taking care of that big garden almost cost me my marriage. I quickly learned that a garden of that size, although lots of fun, was a big mistake.

Trish and I have always enjoyed our dogs - Miniature Schnauzers, Standard Schnauzers, and several rescued and adopted mutts. They have always been an important part of our family. Romeo (my daughter named him), our 4-year old Spitz/Corgi mix, is with me here in the picture. He is our only dog now. He is the most affectionate dog we've ever owned.

My Big Decision....

I must say that my career has been successful. I have followed the general rules to achieve the "American Dream." I got a good education, I got a job, and worked very hard. And I do mean "hard" - generally 50-80 hours per week. I was very loyal to my company and did everything the President asked me to do.

Although I made good salaries over the years, it was still just a JOB. After all those years, I found that I was still not where I wanted to be financially. I was approaching retirement but couldn't afford to retire. Life just gets in the way sometimes. For me it was major unanticipated children expenses, a business failure, and a pension plan that vanished. Maybe some of you can relate to that.

I had made thousands of decisions throughout my career. I then made the most important decision ever - I wanted out!!! I was tired of the daily commute. I couldn't take working for someone else anymore. I was tired of helping my boss achieve his dreams and not getting close to achieving mine. I wanted to get out of Corporate America. But in my case, it certainly didn't happen right away. And that is an understatement!

So Trish and I got involved in a home based business. In fact we got into another one a couple of years later.

MLM was a struggle for us for several years. Although we started having good success later on, we still struggled because we just didn't enjoy the process of chasing after people, trying to convince them to join our "opportunity," and then keeping them motivated and active after they joined. We are no longer involved in those businesses.

But my desire to leave my job was now stronger than ever. Yes, I still was working at that corporate job. I told you earlier that my move from Corporate America didn't take place over night. I was still not where I needed to be financially.

I then became a rep for a company that provides high quality food and products to dogs and cats. Not only did this satisfy our desire to give the very best nutrition to our two dogs, it also allowed us to help other pet lovers and pet professionals find the best food for their pets and their clients' pets.

I Save the Best For Last....

Those of you who have read to this point remember that I wanted out of my corporate JOB. Yes, I was still in that job several years after making the decision to leave it. I had tried hard but had not reached the level financially where I thought I could say goodby to my boss.

You're probably thinking that this guy, Scott Hubbard, just doesn't have what it takes to make it on his own. But you are wrong!! I have quit my job.

I owe it all to one company, one opportunity, and the last home business I will ever join. Remember how I said I struggled with chasing after people in my MLM businesses, trying to get them to join my opportunity, and trying to keep them motivated and active after they did join my business. Well, I don't do any of that stuff with this company.

I love this business. The company is not MLM but in the direct sales industry - a major difference. The products are outstanding. The training and support are the best I've ever seen.

One of the best things about this company is the marketing system we use. I hardly ever talk with people until they join me in the business.

My life has totally changed. I am creating wealth and abundance in my life so that I never have to worry about money again. God has blessed me. First of all, He has helped me find this business. Secondly, He has helped me to develop the skills to be successful in it. And third, I am helping people achieve similar results.

If you have an interest, you can learn more about my business by visiting http://www.StartSlowFinishRich.com and filling in your name and email address.

As I come to the end of this, I want to add a few more paragraphs. What I have to say may offend some of you. But I really don't care because this is totally critical in understanding who I really am.

I believe in God. I try, but fail too many times to be a disciple of God. I believe that God does not want us to struggle. Sure, there will be times when things don't go the way we want them to.

But I don't believe that God wants us to constantly struggle. I believe He wants us to attract abundance into our lives. He wants us to be happy and achieve our dreams as long as those dreams are aligned with His purpose for us being on this earth.

I feel He wants us to be His representatives. We can't be good representatives if we are struggling financially and always worrying about how we will pay our bills.

I believe that many people in the United States are hurting and have gotten totally off track from where our country's forefathers intended us to be. I feel that I have an obligation to my God and my country to make a difference in this area.

I don't know where this will take me or who wishes to join me. I am only one person. I have limited talents. But I am committed to making a difference on this planet.

Thanks for bearing with me through all of this information about me. I hope we have an opportunity to talk in the future. I wish you the very best!!

I'd like to meet:

I am looking for like-minded people:

People who think they can accomplish far more than they have thus far in their lives Those who are motivated and have an entrepreneurial spirit Positive thinking people – those who focus on the solution rather than the problem People whose lives are based on high morals and integrity People who believe that the best is yet to come in their lives People who believe that life is not about receiving but giving People who are actively taking steps to change their reality if they aren’t happy with their current situation in life People who believe that their own personal development is critical to their success People who understand that starting a business requires an investment of time and money

If this sounds like you, send me a comment and let’s talk or exchange emails.

Maybe you are in the situation I was in a short time ago. I was at retirement age but couldn’t afford to retire. What a bummer!!

Maybe your situation is similar to mine a few months ago. I had a burning desire to be financially free but couldn’t find a vehicle to accomplish that.

No matter what your situation, if you are the type of person I described above, let’s talk.
