You start to face the twenties or the thirties, but somehow you’re not that much of an adult as you should be. You never really grew up. You had to be an adult back then when you were young, a kid – and now that you are an adult, you just don’t grow old.
Of course you know of the “serious†part of life and that never ending struggle to stay somehow on the edge of keeping it straight – you don’t wanna lose your mind. But you also know something is wrong – you don’t wanna be like your parents, who live out in the country, who have their nine-to-five-job since over 20 years, who have their little own house in which every item has the same place and always will have. There is just no disorder, everything is neat and nice – and boring. Your parents might be happy with it. But you are not. You hate the vision of once being exactly like that.
You started to do everything just the other way than your parents do. First, you moved to the big city. You got a little band, you tried to get your feelings out. You simply tried to get along – since you never knew what to do, what’s right for you, where you wanna go – except from that beaten track of your parents. The only thing you know is what you do not wanna be. The rest is open, not clear at all – you search your identity, you live through highs and lows and you fear all decisions – especially those that might block up chances of a lifetime. You always look for the perfect time, the greatest song, the one and only moment. In between you’re bored, depressed or drunk or listen to music or you try to make your own. You’re just a troublekid… it’s the way you are! It’s the way we are…
And it is the way “TROUBLEK!D†sounds like…
