District (1995-2005)

About Me

DISTRICT was an outstanding Punk Rock group based in the ruhr valley, a former industrial area in the very west of Germany. Their output might have been unsteady, but their songs are lasting and the only full length release, the 2004 album "Don't mess with the hard punx", is rated as a classic in some circles already.
The bands fate was finally sealed when the only original member Marc Ader reformed the group under the name 2nd District in 2005 to perform a more Glam stemmed branch of Punk Rock.

This website is meant to be a platform for rare outtakes and unreleased material from the bands archives which would otherwise probably never see the light of day at all. And there's more of that to follow... also, if you got any DISTRICT photos, flyer, videos, live recordings, whatever lying about don't hesitate to contact us...STAY FREE!
