About Me

Introduction:
Hi. My name is Nar. Technically, Julio Naranjo in full. I grew up wanting to do amazing things and share them with others. Sometimes I wonder what else is there. But regardless, I always keep pushing things over my limit. I believe in myself just as anyone else should believe in themselves. It's not easy when your attributes dont match what "plastic america" dictates as average, let alone perfect. But I keep rockin' no matter what.
Passion and determination is essential to my everyday living. I would recommend it be yours as well.
Thanks for stopping by.
I love drawing.
I've been doing it for little over 10 years and it's been my vehicle for my deepest emotions. Here's a small vid clip of me sketching out a random breakdown with an ink pen. Hope you enjoy it. ;]
Favorite Quote:
"I think that people die sometimes when they dont want to live no more. And nature is smarter than people think...
Little by little we lose our friends... we lose everything...and we keep losing and losing until we say, "What the hell am i living around here for?, I got no reason to go on.."
But with you kid.. boy, I got reason to go on.
And I'm going to stay alive. And I will watch you make good. And I'll never leave you until that happens. Because when I leave you, you will not only know how to fight, you'll be able to take care of yourself outside the ring too..."
-Mickey Goldmill

It's what I like... and?

Television:

Television programs today suck. No really. It's all reality tv which is so ironic because theres hardly anything real about them aside from stupid. I do have some rare favs here and there but I just don't turn on the tv unless im popping in a dvd or watching the History channel when they're doing a special showing on space and beyond.
-Family Guy
-MONK
-Nip Tuck
-Futurama
-Animal Planet
-Dave Chapelle Show
-The Twighlight Zone re-runs

Books:

I was completely captivated by James O'Barr's The Crow complete paperback. If you havent read it yet.. you need to. Both words and art express true sad and vengeful emotions one can easily relate with and you can feel the bursting pain throughout each page of the book. What is love?

I've enjoyed other books as well but not lately. My mind is tangled up, I can't find enough peace to enjoy a book. The Crow remains my favorite for its uniqueness and perhaps its strong connection to my own dreary life.

Heroes:

My mother. Though I hardly see her, I know she's out there fighting her battles still.
I may never understand where the strength comes from but sometimes Im convinced the answer isnt far from my own flesh and blood.

Other mentions:
Al Pacino, Bruce Lee, Evel Knievel, Rob Liefeld, Todd McFarlane, Sam Kieth, Shigeru Miyamoto (he's the creator of Mario and Nintendo), Kevin Eastman, John Pound, whoever created Madballs and people who fight the good fight to help make life better not just for us, but our scarred planet as well.
