The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated -

About Me

I am a workaholic, working nights and evenings for a multinational medical transcription company as a quality assurance specialist for hospitals in all 50 states. I am passionate about animal rescue. I work with DRC, Doberman Rescue and Concern of South Florida. The Doberman, basically misunderstood and very often abused, is my special love. I have had as many as three Dobies at one time, but now have just one male, Aeneus, and 5 adopted cats, but I am toying with the idea of raising a new Dobie puppy in the future (a huge undertaking). I still maintain an interest in exotic reptiles, boas, pythons and colubrids, the Brazilian Rainbow boa, Diamond and Angolan pythons among my favorites, also having been a successful breeder, caring for 68 snakes in the past. I am interested in numismatics and gemology, but still an amateur. My three children, two sons and a daughter, are adult professionals and I have two grandchildren, all living outside of Florida. My three close friends are my extended family and I enjoy their company when time permits. Basically, I consider myself a realist, a glass half-empty person by nature, but have always marched to the beat of a different drummer and definitely did it my way.

My Blog

Focus on the journey, not the destination

The past does not equal the future. Because you have failed a moment ago, all day today, or for the last six months, or for the last sixteen years, or for the last fifty years of your life, doesn't me...
