About Me

James is a young, up and coming producer, who has shown a knack of finding and breaking new music through onto the radio.
In the past six-months he has produced debut singles This Town for The On Offs (described as ones to watch by the NME) and Finding It Hard (8/10 Drowned In Sound) for Dirty Little Faces.
James has recently finished recording new track Tarantula with Radio1 favorites, Roland Shanks. Roland Shanks along with Dirty Little Faces were each named Steve Lamacqs Favorite New Band in that period. His latest project has been to produce tracks for the forthcoming Morning Runner single.
As well as producer, James is a very skilled engineer. As engineer James has worked alongside producer songwriters Sacha Skarbek and Ron Tom working with artists such as Natalie Imbruglia, Melanie Blatt, Sinead O'Connor, Jamie Hartman as well as the development of new and unsigned acts.
James started as an assistant engineer at the Motor Museum studio in Liverpool, during that time he worked under producers such as Mike Crossey and Andy McCluskey. In what proved to be a very vibrant period in Liverpool, James assisted on bands such as The Dead 60s, Arctic Monkeys, The Basement, The Harrisons, The 747s, The Black Velvets and The Aeroplanes.
James is equally at home mixing and enjoys working between a combination of analogue tape and Pro-Tools.
James sights his time spent assisting in Liverpool as a period where he developed good working ethics, really concentrating on the performance of the artist whereby it is the performer not the computer that makes the record, as opposed to visa versa.
