Comrade Jase

Governments should be afraid of their people, people should not be afraid of their governments.

About Me

I'm married to the beautiful voluptuous Katy Palmer and have been since August 2004. We live in a cosy little appartment with our diminutive lioness--Pie. For now I'm an activist/student at MTSU, part of MTSolidarity with ambitions to join/start chapters of other leftist democratic groups. I consider myself a democratic socialist dedicated to revolutionary economic and social change based upon mass participatory movements that are pragmatic in their orientation (rather than dogmatic). I'm a Sociology major, a Philosophy/International Relations minor with a few classes in History and Anthropology in between. I am awash in books and happy with that fact. I consider myself a philosopher of sorts, one who is dedicated to critical thought which breaks through hegemonic ideology entrenched in our consciousness which colonizes our community's with notions of "the horrible Other" (homosexuals, those with higher counts of melanin in their skin, Muslims, working-class folk, women, etc.). I'm currently in the midst of developing a social theory based upon the notion of "predation theory," which I previewed with the aforementioned notion of "the horrible Other" and which is a cocktail of Gramsci, Postcolonial Studies, Queer Theory, Radical Feminism, Socialist-Feminism, Marxism, Radical Pragmatism, etc. etc. I hope to be a college professor of political sociology and theory with an emphasis on Latin American and Middle East politics.
