My Interests

Music, Art, Photography, Philosophy, Psychology... Anything that requires creativity, serious thought, or both.

I'd like to meet:

Sensible, easy-going people...though,I definitely have a sincere appreciation for eccentricity. I'd absolutely love to meet new people who aren't quick to judge; not to say that I mind being judged myself...frankly, I couldn't give a damn less whether people judge me or not. However, I find it tragic the way most people shamelessly judge one another. People who appreciate good conversation, and don't buy into all the self-deceptive mind games and bullshit that the majority of "normal" human social interaction seems to be.

Master Splinter
You're wise beyond your years, and you're normally very, VERY calm in even the darkest of problems. You spend much time thinking over problems, trying to help others around you, and enjoying time alone and with family. Though you are a skilled warrior, at either power or mind, you prefer peace, harmony, and silence. Others look to you for help and words of wisdom, and often take your advise eagerly and with little question.

Music:

Ben Harper, P-Funk, Sublime, Xavier Rudd, John Butler Trio, STS9, Panic, The Chili Peppers, James Brown, Jurassic 5, Mos Def, Saul Williams, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Zepplin, Bob Dylan, Neutral Milk Hotel, Johnny Cash, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Marley, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, Fiona Apple, Ani De Franco, Tool, Beck, Pearl Jam, Manson, Electric Six, Gnarls Barkley, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Meat Beat Manifesto, Moby, Prodigy, Soundgarden, Rage, White Zombie, Tom Waits, Iggy and the Stooges, The White Stripes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Primus, The Beatles, John Lennon, John Coltrane, Sonic Youth, The Smashing Pumpkins, Cypress Hill, Massive Attack, Tricky, The Books, DJ Shadow, Radiohead, Barrington Levy, The Doors, Ravi Shankar, Thievery Corporation, Jane's Addiction, The Flaming Lips...I don't discriminate on the basis of genre. Movies:

Anything by Tarentino or Tim Burton, Waking Life, Eternal Sunshine, Donnie Darko, Coffee and Cigarettes (or anything by Jarmusch for that matter), Fight Club, Dazed and Confused, Requiem For a Dream, Pi, just about anything by Kevin Smith (or Wes Anderson)...I could go on, but otherwise, I generally lean towards foreign and/or independent films. I tend to like my films at least somewhat obscure and thought provoking.

Television:

WAKE UP AMERICA!!! Quit wasting your lives and throw away your fucking television!

Books:

I strongly believe that reading is one of the best things that anyone can do to better themselves. That said, Robert A. Heinlein, Kurt Vonnegut, Franz Kafka, Allen Ginsberg, and Hunter S. Thompson are a few of my favorite authors.

Heroes:

Personally, I don't idolize anyone; that would require far too much false hope in humankind. Not to say that I don't deeply admire certain qualities, ideals, or attitudes exhibited by a select few of the members of our sad species; however, if you know me, and you fall into this category, you'll know it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
