Infected Records is a small and non-profitable D.I.Y. label, distro and show promoter/organizer based in Almada, Portugal.

Since February 2003, since we started this out, we've been trying to put out some releases and spread some less known punk-rock music (and everything related) around. We only release music we like, from people we like.No matter what kind of sound it is.The budget is always LOW (yes, we trully are a poor label), but the will is big and we just don't give up.

Too many problems along the way, as expected, during this time.Yet, we still here and we're here to stay!!!

We took part of some releases, cooperations(wich are always a great way of spreading music around) with some bands and labels, and nowadays we have some releases available, in different formats, and more will follow. So stay tuned!

IR010 - RETARD RIOT - THE RIOT SO FAR - DIY CD-R * From Sweden, we introduce you RETARD RIOT! They started in 2001, and after six rehearsals, several six packs, they recorded their first demo, named "about to explode", released in early 2002.The next demo was released in 2003, self-titled "retard riot".In 2004, the third effort, "You're Fucked Up, so Shut Up".Now, in 2005, the band decided to put out together 11 songs, taken from their 3 previous releases, and the result is this "the riot so far".Street-Punk with huge feeling, played from the heart, where you're able to notice the evolution of the band since 2002 until nowadays.Released on a slim case, with black and white layout. - 1 diy

IR016 - GATOS PINGADOS - Resistencia Demo CD-R * GATOS PINGADOS are a punk band from Almada, Portugal. This kids play fast and raw, and this is their first release, containing 8 songs plus intro, all in Portuguese.Lyrics talk are about social - political content.The title of this one is "Resistncia", and it's out now, on cd-r format, black and white artwork and lyrics included. Recorded and produced by Paulo (he also recorded and produced releases from bands like My Rules, Pestox, Namek, Call to Power, Ruthless Breed and many more), with great sound quality.This is a good one!!1 diy

After several delays, due to some problems, this is finally out!HATE IS JUST A FEELING mix Punk and Folk like anyone else, in a superb way. IR018 - LUCIEN - D.I.Y. Eller Do CD-R EP * - LUCIEN - DARK AND DIRTY PUNK ROCK FROM STOCKHOLM CITY, SWEDEN. Lucien were formed by English punk Greg Hell ( Mr.Zippy, Yellowskin, Angelfuck ) and Swedish guitarist Vic Hemgrem ( Maze Of Torment, Manegarm, Sorg, Sawed-Off, Construcdead ) in 2004. Completed with the addition of Stefan 'S.S' on the drums and Ekwe Nordin on the bass. This is a DIY EP release containing 4 songs. They play the music they love. Fast rock'n'roll, mixing metal and punk attitude.Here you can find influences from bands like Zeke, Motrhead, Iron Maiden, Social Distortion or the early The Hellacopters stuff.The lyrics are based on social-political issues, wich gives the punk side of this band.This is really good shit! IR019 - VIOLENCIA VIOLETA - Vivencia Violeta CD * The first full-length of the Portuguese punk-alternative band VIOLÊNCIA VIOLETA is OUT NOW! 13 songs of DIY punk-rock, all sung in Portuguese, with great corrosive, sincere and raging social-political lyrics and two small spoken words. They talk about bio-technology, the society of consume, the Amerikkkan imperialism, the ideological emptiness of todays society, the needs of an active fight against what wants to destroy us, the state control of the legal drugs and many other issues. The songs are simple and direct, with tons of pure and true feeling. The booklet is available in three different languages (Portuguese, English or Spanish) and its a 20 page booklet. This band is one of the most active DIY bands in Portugal, always fighting against the big business and the shallow attitudes in the Portuguese alternative scene. That fight is well noticed in this release. IR020 - DIANA JONES & THE VIETNAM WHISKEY DANCERS - One Thousand Forms to React the Pain CD * The first EP of this great Portuguese band, containing 4 songs, is out now! The Whiskey Dancers can mix Punk, Hardcore and Grunge in an incredible way. Strong bass, a voice screaming from the heart, guitar riffs that can be simple and intense at the same time, the drums set the pace of this journey. IR021 - DECRETO 77 and PISS!! - split cd CD * Brand new release from two Portuguese punk-rock bands. Each band delivers 4 studio songs plus 4 live songs, with good audio quality, in a total of 16 songs CD. IR023 - NEPENTE - Kärlek, Törst & Hat (love, thirst and hate) Cd-R * Nepente was the embryo of what today is HATE IS JUST A FEELING.This CD-R contains 11 punk-rock tracks from two different recordings in 1996 and 1997. The later one never been released before! The other songs were released on MC, that were distributed for free at the time. So, basically, this is rare stuff, that you're not able to find anywhere else, and it's our pleasure to have it release it here! All the songs are in Swedish and besides Nizze on vocals (just like in HIJAF), you'll find the HIJAF drummer Thabbe on guitar and even so Marcas! IR027 - ARD, KAOS KLITÓRIANO, BESTHOVEN & TERROR REVOLUCIONÁRIO - Face do Chaos 4 way split DIY CD-R * 4 way split featuring 4 Brazilian punk and HC bands. 4 songs from each band, in a total of 16 songs. The title “Face do Chaos” was decided for this first volume because of a festival that happens in the city of Gama, Brazil, that have the same name. IR032 - DECRETO 77 vs FLIPPIN' BEANS anthems from the cities SPLIT CD *This CD was supposed to be a 7" at first. But do to many delays and problems, both bands decided to put this out on CD. Because the songs are too damn good to be locked in some studio for much longer. So here we are. October 2007. Lathi (Finland) and Almada (Portugal). Two cities. 6 Anthems. All songs are incredible, catchy, melodic, agressive, with tons of sing-a-longs. The Flippin' Beans hail from Lathi, Finland, and provide us with amazing melodies, great guitar riffs and powerfull and catchy chorus. D*77 are from Almada, Portugal, and deliver 3 intense songs, where melody and agressive parts are side by side, with conscient and in-your-face lyrics, sing-a-longs and lots of ooozin'aahs. Gino's Eyeball hail from Belgium, and they played in Portugal in the last 3 years. Last year their show at Infected Records DIY Fest was recorded and this is the final result. 16 punk-rock songs performed really well, including some great versions from bands like NOFX or names like Enrique Iglesias(yes, that's right!), lots of funny interaction between band and public, and everthing with an amazing sound. This is more than a MUST HAVE. It's a classic already.
