DISCOGRAPHY
Jeremy has had a musical background since the moment he was born in 1973. His first encounters were through his father, a member of a very successful British disco band called J.A.L.N band in the early eighties on Magnet / Warner Music.
In addition to the early influences of his father, artists mainly of American origin such as Prince, Shalamar, Micheal Jackson, George Clinton, Chic, Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Delegation, Grace Jones, Kool and the Gang etc were also an inspiration to Jeremy.
Jeremy’s first productions were recorded in his father’s studio in Handsworth Birmingham England. Initially producing mainly "Rave music" or "Jungle Techno" as it was called back then, in the early stages, inspired by reggae & Dub. Jeremy gradually ventured into "drum n bass" which led him to start a record label in 1994, with his father called DUBTRONIX. This label produced two highly successful tracks "screwface" and "fantasy" which sold over 20,000 copies worldwide. DUBTRONIX also had successful releases on RENK RECORDS, CREAM RECORDINGS, Q RECORDS, JVC MUSIC and S.A.S RECORDINGS.
The not so obvious stage in Jeremy’s musical career was to become a DJ. His reasons were, however, so that he could once again approach the music at a street, were he would get a direct reaction from the crowds he was playing to. He involved himself with local pirate radio stations, playing deep NYC House music, which led towards a successful path playing at many clubs around the UK & Europe.
Unable to satisfy his eagerness to further his career in music, Jeremy contacted Nice n Ripe records and started to produce tracks on their labels under various names: SLY, DEEP COVER, GROOVE CONNECTION, G.O.D, SYLVESTER amongst others.
Jeremy moved to London and settled in quickly, going to all the major House and Garage clubs so that he could get a vibe from the crowds. The pirate scene in London is much larger than the rest of England and play mainly House and Garage so Jeremy listened carefully to what the DJ’s were playing and produced music to that sound.
At Nice n Ripe, Jeremy formed production/remix outfit "CLUB ASYLUM" with former partner PAUL EMMANUEL of (HAJI & EMMANUEL), now enjoying success for remixing some major recording artist’s which include: ALL SAINTS, JODECI, KC& JOJO, THE DON, SHOLA AMA, DIONNE RAKEEM, ANOTHER LEVEL, RAY RUFFIN, KENNY THOMAS, DENADA, LYNSEY MOORE, RASHEEN PATERSON, GINUWINE, AMIRA, BARBARA TUCKER, LUTRICIA MCNEAL, MAIDA MYLES, MARVIN AND TAMERA AND DAWN TALLMEN amongst others, yet still keeping an underground edge to his sound.
