Exploring the infinite universe within, spirituality, purpose, life, art. I am interested in the Raku technique of firing ceramics. As you can see that is how my sculptures are fired. It is a very rough technique, but I guess that is what interests me. If my fragile sculptures survive the Raku part, then they were meant to be. It is a hot, dirty and rewarding process. There have been many times when my daughter (my Raku partner) and I have lifted a bucket to see the results and just been like "Whoa! that's the best one!" but every time they get better and better. It's a great process and alot of fun. Ask me, I'll tell you all about it!
