The Venue
DTJ is an annual talent competition held by the Filipino Student Association from the University of Florida. It has been in production for the past 13 years. DTJ is held at the largest club in Gainesville, Florida showcasing some of the hottest acts coming from all over the southeast region. Talents from all over Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and even as far as New York and California have travelled great distances just to be a part of this craziness.
After the talent show is where the real fun begins! What's better than partying it up with the winners of DTJ?! Right after the show we bring out our very own DJs on the ones and twos, spinning the hottest hip hop, r&b, reggeaton, and crunk music. This is a perfect time to mingle, relax, and dance with the hundreds and thousands of people who comes into Gainesville to get away from hustles and bustles of the "real world".
But wait, it doesn't end there. For those of you not into the whole clubbing and partying scene, don't worry. We've got something for you too! On the weekend of DTJ, UFFSA also hosts sports competitions. What's there to do after a long drunken night of partying?! Sleep?? I don't think. The infamous day after is reserved for Adobowl, one of the most anticipated sporting events. Those who show up ready to play at 9 in the morning are the true die-hard football fans. Adobowl is a 7-on-7 football tournament open to any mens and womens team from any university organization. Now, if football isn't your thing, well then you are in luck. Since this year's DTJ falls on Veteran's Day weekend, DTJ will hosts its very first basketball tournament ever on Friday. Bento Basketball Championship is a 5-on-5 double elimination tournament.
So, as you can see, this weekend long event has something for everybody. From dance machines to sports enthusiasts. On behalf of the University of Florida's Filipino Student Association, we sure do hope to see you at Def Talent Jam XIII!!!

This is an awesome group comprised of pumped-up dancers and performers from all of the Atlanta FSA’s: Georgia Tech, Emory, and Georgia STATE University!!! Each one of them is prepared to represent for the A. They’re going to be bringing the best performance you’ll ever see cause they are gunning for that first place spot. They are going to get you CRUNK when you see them on stage… they’ll have the whole crowd chanting, “A T L! A T L! A T L!"

Rhythmic Soul is a collaboration of students from Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and Tallahassee Community College. Organized in the Fall of 2005, the Hip-Hop dance group consists of 28 members. Aside from dancing, the group considers itself to be a family of friends inside and outside of practice. Inspired by all forms of dance, Rhythmic Soul draws heavy influence in their choreography from breakdancing, modern dance, jazz, and many styles of Hip-Hop.

MIA Dirty South is a group of close friends who have fun through dance. We just want to get up on stage and have some fun and hopefully the audience will enjoy our performance just as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

This year we're bringing it back.

UnderAGroove
 UAG was founded in Orlando, Florida by Dayna Magno Gonzaga. They promote cultural unity in the community and provide a positive outlet through dance. All the members of the dance company are professional dancers who train on a regular basis and work in the industry.
