Famous last words: "Who's game for a little, friendly Cribbage tournament?" Or, "How about a QUICK game of Scrabble?" Ya gotta love old-school amusement and Thinking Man's games, eh? But, now I think I'm too easily entertained, actually. Just hand me a challenging crossword puzzle (I'm such a 'wordologist' that it probably wouldn't bore me to read the dictionary for awhile). I'm just this poor junkie on an endless Trivial Pursuit of much ado about everything pertaining to nothing...to the utter dismay of all my friends and family! Coolest song lyric ev~er..."Talk Nerdy to Me!"
KINKYCOMMENTS.COMI do have many varied interests and I'd be untrue to myself if I didn't profess that I'm very much at home on the water, near the water... I don't NEED to catch (n' release) the fish; but if I do, then it's a happier day. We still? have some 10,000 lakes, don'cha know. I pretty much want to be outdoors... just like my cat, who also pouts while she has to stay in!In her denial; Sherrie still likes to think of her tennis game as "mean" (interpretation counts as much as an ace)...and her peeps say she is still "not that very much ungraceful" in a pair of figure skates.
I love, love, LOVE the Green Bay Packers...but then I crave football in general. Now, to combine the thrill of road-trippin with catching my 1st game at Lambeau Field...I'm starting down a DIFFERENT career path, so let's hope I can say that I'm still interested in the years to follow!Though, the most JOY in my life comes from time spent in the company of friends and loved ones; just laughing and being goofy and getting to bond...which more often than not seems to take place in a bowling alley (nuthin but class, Baby)! "May you always believe in the power of DAYDREAMIN..." is my philosophy and, someday, I'll actually get paid to do it (meanwhile, this Dust-Bunny Breeder thing is really comin along)! Joyous living does not only revolve around tasks and chores. Gotta stop n' smell the people once in awhile... er ...
Hmmm...I'm welcoming the prospect of meeting new and interesting friends in here who share my enthusiasm for all things creative and artistic! I'd even welcome those who are NOT in my extended network (wink). Some day I would like to take a meeting with The Far Side (any side) of Gary Larson's mind. Another time (hopefully in the far distant future) I'd love to meet up with Douglas Adams, perhaps at a restaurant in the galaxy of his choice?

And not at all surprisingly...I'm still clinging to my fantasy of seeing BRETT FAVRE one day ~~ even tho NOT as a player anymore :(
That was the SADDEST face I could type!!! So, fellow Packer Backers...join me for some "group therapy?"

This woman can drum, too! Teenager-Sherrie would get to watch her play, on the rare occasion of NOT babysittin' her kids) and Mick Sterling are all a "few" on my ECLECTIC list. I say, "Long Live the 'Hair' Bands!"

QUESTION: Won't "they" just ABOLISH info-mercials once and for all? (I know--huge dividends for the stations, duh.) And enuff with the reality shows! Now there's the reality game shows, too! Whatever happened to "random" everyday contestants challenging their skill and mental prowess? Frankly, tho I can empathize; I don't wanna spend that MUCH time on your sad, pitiful life...just wanna watch you win some dough! I think that one reality court show is already pushing it (I'd rather watch Matlock or something and I think Andy IS COOL, thank you). Lastly, why are they making even more shows like Springer and Maury? Answer correctly and you win a Mill (peppermill)! What DO I like on tv? Easy ~ Intelligent, funny sitcoms; ie, Frasier; Scrubs; Simpsons; Two and a Half Men (though obviously catering to the one track mind set); King of the Hill (just plain fun sarcasm); Friends; and my newest guilty pleasure is when I get to watch cable (too poor to subscribe, myself) "that one show" where they pick up unsuspecting game show contestants in a taxicab! I refer to these shows as "my comfort tv." I can't seem to find any dramas I want to invest an hour in, anymore, (maybe CSI-Brooklyn Park, LOL) although I used to get into ER back in the day. Now, I must say HOUSE is surprisingly entertaining! Note* I prefer to avoid television, as I don't already have enough distractions? Quite certain I've left alot of quality shows off my list, in lieu of rant space!!!
LOVE to read, tho haven't in some time, hmm? I have FINALLY found an answer to that dilemma, folks! Her name is Lisette Brodey. She is delightful; and has sent me a personally autographed copy of her book, CROOKED MOON! She has penned other novels, as well as a couple of new ones, which I'm SO looking forward to. I feel extremely priviledged to call her my friend...so much so...that I best warn you to wear extra sox; her writing's gonna knock off a pair (or two)! Now, if you've been searching around for a very intelligent and witty writer ...just as everyone SHOULD BE...all ya gotta do is click! (Lisette's beautiful image is over there, to your right.) You simply MUST tell her that Sherrie sent ya, Dah-ling! LOL ALSO here are two old faves that I dust off every now and again which are obviously profound to me: "Nature's End," co-authored by Whitley Strieber (yeah THAT 'nutjob') and "Under the Lake" by Stuart Woods. The first is a very "realistic fiction" about the likely? cataclysmic results upon Humanity: stemming from overpopulation and other adverse effects we've had on the Environment; also the role advanced technology plays in OUR ultimate self destruction. Yup, it's a "comedy" LOL! I am telling you...it certainly offers plenty of action and a really wild, tho plausible plot (must often remind self that it was a lot more fictional back around 1987). It's just a good, fast paced thriller that blew my mind and I highly recommend it! ...Why, I am even conspiring to somehow(?) suggest the purchasing of movie rights to Mr. Gore and Mr. Spielberg! The latter book is by one of my favorite mystery writers. Stephen King wrote a blurb saying how it "creeped even him out." Gotta still believe in a good ghost story to jump start the imagination! Lastly, I generally can sink my teeth into a great biography. Autobiographies actually tend to be better. David Crosby's (as in CSN and sometimes Y) auto...he took me away into that Rock n' Roll culture and was pretty well hooked. I passed out a few copies of Slash's for Xmas gifts and think I'd like to borrow one back to rip into? I'm also positive I'd be diggin' the one Bill Clinton wrote a little while back. Hey, ya just never know? (with this girl's imagination) I'll be adding the novel authored by Yours Truly to this list somewhere down the road..."Why, it made me gazillions, afterall." LOL
Danielle, cuz every day she inspires such awe and makes me wanna pinch myself that she's really MY daughter! My big bro, Mark will always be my mentor and has endured way too many years of lil' sis aspiring to be his mini~me. Also those on my Most Unforgettable Characters List (which is evergrowing, to my utmost delight)! Especially YOU, out there, that genuinely give a damn about Humanity (and all living things) and still continue to reach out... To be a wee bit redundant here; of course, Brett Favre and Tiger (my namesake). PS: I sure do admire that Al Gore fella and wouldn't wanna accidentally omit him *) ...and I'm real sorry you have to see this, Kids:The Irrepressible, Irreplaceable You: ...I do SO hope you took notice of my "after" photo above? Sherrie is still the little princess of her own sand castles :) Okay, here is the WINNER of the most bizarre picture I've ever seen: Whoever comes up with the best caption (so far, I'm stumped) get's their name put in this section, LOL! Weird, I know; I just can't seem to take my 'eye' off of it, either.
