I am here for Friends

About Me

Well, I can give you a few facts...
Born and raised near the lovely East Texas city of Tyler (yes, where the roses are, and no, I wasn't one), I've lived in Texas all my life excepting my freshman year of high school, which I spent in Las Vegas, Nevada, and a couple of years in the mid-nineties, while my ex-husband was in the military during which we were stationed in Lompoc, California. Vegas I recommend, Lompoc, not so much. I moved to Austin in February of 1999, and can't really imagine myself anywhere else. I live with my boyfriend of 5 years, my beautiful 12-year-old daughter Londyn, and our cats, Moody, Tonks, and Petey in a big beautiful house that we just recently acquired. I've worked at the same club almost the entire time I've lived here. You can visit it here: Elysium

And a few opinions...
I love my kid, my job, my families (I have more than one,) a boy named Marcos, and my cats, not necessarily in that order. I love to laugh. I love to cry. I think I like to experience emotions in general, and I have a tendency to do so in extremes. I also enjoy intellectualism, provided that's an actual word, though the things that tend to lurk in my intellect don't seem to lurk in a lot of other people's, so I spend most of my time inside my own head.

But nothing sums it up like...
I am what you perceive me to be.

My Interests

Human behavior/interaction, Astrology, Computers, Gardening and plants and flowers in general, The supernatural and/or paranormal, Scientific theories about things I've only begun to grasp, Spirituality, Predestination, Comic books, Clothes, Reading, Music, Talking too much...

I'd like to meet:

Does it really matter? By the end of my life I will have met every person that I was supposed to meet, whether I would have liked meeting them or not.

This is some stuff I like to do when I'm bored...

You can see more of Brad Neely's genius here: www.superdeluxe.com or here: www.creasedcomics.com if you are smart enough to find it...

Fun with Photoshop.

My current profile song (if it is still TMBG's Birdhouse in Your Soul) is dedicated to Cos, cuz he and it both make me smile, no matter how crappy I feel.  I love you, baby ~j~...

I don't care what you think.

This goes out to everyone and no one in particular, all at the same time. Yes, I was very possibly a bit of a dick last night.  And possibly also several other nights for the past week and a half...

Aaah, the mayhem...

Anybody else still not recovered from last night?  Do I even have to ask? Starting around 4pm and having an extra hour of drinking time is soooooo not a good combination.  Still, I don't kno...

My sister rocks!

I just spent an hour and a half on the phone with my little sister, and I just have to say that she rocks.  The child is 12 years younger than me (to the day, I might add) and she's already wiser...

I had a request...

Apparently, there are actually a few people out there that enjoy hearing what I have to say every once in awhile, so this is for my 3? fans.  And come to think of it, I've said very little lately...

My cat won't stop yelling at me!!!

Which sucks, because my day was otherwise good, barring a few ongoing exceptions, which I won't elaborate on at this time. I ran into some really old, really GOOD friends today.  Cobalt 9, S...
