About Me

Currently workin' as an MD in Port Elizabeth, South Africa ( so u know I be seein' some crazy shit). Been a serious drummer and turntablist for years now and trying to keep that goin' at the same time aswell as production aswell.

My Interests

Film (moslty documentaries and independant film + anime and the occasional commercial flik that don't suck eg. Sin City) Comics (can't live without these) Music: listenin', producing and performing. Medicine I try to keep myself and my mind busy most of the time by experiencing and learning new stuff.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who don't have their head up their a$$.

Music:

As noted above: Anything from Jazz( Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Chick corea, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield etc) to HipHop (Dj Shadow, Ganstarr, Madlib, Qbert, DJ Vadim, Planet Asia, Hieroglyphics etc) to Electronic (Aphex Twin, Luke Vibert, Boards of Canada etc) to Rock (Jimi Hendrix Living Colour, Soundgarden, Weezer, A Perfect Circle, Frank Zappa, Steve Vai etc) to Soul..Funk (James Brown, Sly Stone, Parliament etc) to Classical (Stravinsky, Rachmaninov etc). Pretty much anyhting thats true and real and expressive. Personally on a production level I been makin' mostly hiphop and electro stuff.

Movies:

Lots of documentaries lately ( Outfoxed, The corporation, The History Of Marijuana:) and lots of series ( Battlestar Galactica, House MD, The OC (yeah I know:) and others. Commercially Sin City rocked as it kept pretty true to the graphic novels and also thought Star Wars 3 was a decent comeback from the last 2. Couple of great Japanese movies I've seen lately are Battle Royal, Old Dog, Kung Fu Hustle and a few others and some anime series' like Full Metal Alchemist. Huge into standup and sketch comedy like pretty much everything from Dave Chapelle and also Eddie Izzard and other legends like Pryor, Murphy, Carlin, Mooney and the late great Bill Hicks.

Television:

As above.

Books:

U bet your a$$ :)

Heroes:

Miles Davis (if u don't know, then check it out and know) DJ Shadow, DJ Qbert, Luke Vibert, Nelson Mandela (gotta give it to the old man, he did alot for this country, not so sure about the rest of the ANC tho', pretty much a damn dogshow now that he outta the ring). These are just naming a few, but there been tons of great individuals who have influenced different aspects of my life. Oh yeah, and Alexander Flemming (antibiotics probably a more significant invention than the Technics 1200 :)
