About Me

In June of 2003 I was stricken with a stage 4 throat cancer that almost got me, but the many prayers and good wishes that we got from family, friends and foe helped me lick this thing.I have a photo that a friend took of the sunset on the lake where I grew up that I keep to remind me of how powerful nature is and how fragile life is.Dec. 2004 I returned to work on a part-time basis for a friend of mine at the country station in Detroit...just to see if I could handle the job again. Well an opportunity was given to me right after that to go back to full-time radio, and I moved to Dallas, TX right away.In August of 2006 my marriage of 17 years and my job all ended on pretty much the same day. So, I left to go home to spend some time with the family for the 1st time in 12 years. Except that it was the worst winter in 20 years...it was a good move. Hangin' with homeboys. The best.I headed back to Texas to try my hand at TV, but I got an opportunity came up to work with someone who's almost like family to me, so I'm in Mississippi at 95-3, The Rebel. It's all about the grease and gravy baby.Talk to you soon.

My Interests

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor - Image Hosting

I'd like to meet:

Clapton.Genius...addiction...loss...survival...icon.My kids.

Music:

Clapton...anything. Vince. Montgomery Gentry. Travis Tritt. Phil Vassar. Pat Green. Jack Ingram. Stoney Larue. I'm wired for sound when I'm on my Harley.

Movies:

I have an affinity for Kevin Costner stuff. Dances With Wolves, Open Range and even The Untouchables. However, the baseball flicks hold a special place in my heart. Bull Durham. The catch scene with his dad in Field Of Dreams...Right now I am going through a phase that I will do every now and then where I will watch something over and over again. And the two that are on my TIVO for replay at any times are The Last Samurai with T Cruise and Denzel in Man On Fire. Very graphic the Denzel movie, but I can't get enough of it. "Lonesome Dove" is the shiznit!

Television:

I liked the West Wing and the Commander in Chief, because I grew up in a political household. The Unit rocks! "Heroes" turned out to be cool.On HBO...I miss Deadwood! and...I love the "WIRE."

Books:

I like Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, Maureen Dowd and Steven King.

Heroes:

John Wayne, the late Dale Earnhardt and the guy who will some day make Richard Simmons wear long pants.
