About Me

Reviews:'Brilliant slumbering frock'n'roll from three norfolk grrrls and a boy. They make the most haunting and sombre doom-pop we've had the good fortune to hear.' NME, March 2006.The Elephant Dress began with best friends and high school geeks Jazzy and Becky writing songs quietly in their parents houses. Gradually, as their confidence grew, they began to develop their unique and inventive sound. With intense dual vocals and gut wrenching guitar chords, the powerful, keyboard fuelled songs have attracted a growing fan base in Norwich and further afield.Their dark and sweetly sinister sound is born from sleepless nights, early mornings, panic attacks, hungover conversations, hypochondria, fits of giggles, desperation, stomachs tied in knots, sexual frustration, and inevitable endings. Comparisons have been made to PJ Harvey, Belly, and The Smiths with undertones of Sleater Kinney.
