Sar Bear Extraordinaire

After the laughter, not much else.

About Me

"I yell about love cos you can never do it loud enough."
Hiya! I'm Sara, but I'm known to my friends as Sar Bear or Sar Bear Extraordinaire or SBE. I've got a lot of nicknames. I am also the Official Flight of the Conchords' Flight Attendants' A1 Cryer. I can cry in several languages. I am twenty-one (yes really) and an English major. I plan to be a comedy writer when I grow up, but in the meantime I'll just share my silliness on MySpace for free. ;)
I am what you might call a "child in spirit". I'm also an insane bundle of emotions, which is why it's so easy to make me cry happy tears. I enjoy laughing till my cheeks hurt and being so happy that my chest hurts... so basically I love inflicting cheerful pain on myself!
Oh yeah, and I can sort of play the ukulele sometimes.
In case you couldn't tell, I love Bret McKenzie.
"I'm sorry, Venkman. I'm terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought." ~ Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) in Ghostbusters
The Flight of the Conchords fellas like my poetry. I did not pay them to say this. (I didn't copy this until recently. Their picture has changed three or eight times since then.)
ME: Bret's practically perfect in every way!
MOM: Bret's Mary Poppins.
ME: Yes! Finally you understand!
RARE FOOTAGE OF THE SAR BEAR IN MOTION!
"How many Dr. Peppers have I had today, anyway? I...lost track. ...I'm gonna go get another one." ~ Me on a daily basis
KATHY: Fair enough.
ME: Jenny.
KATHY: (immediately getting it) No, I'm sorry. I think you've mistaken me for somebody else.
ME: I'm glad you don't mind being Brian.
(Kathy sticks her tongue out at me.)
♥ Only 3(ish) more months till this comes back! ♥
Check out my ~livejournal~ for the haps, the low-down, the skinny, all the news that's fit to mock and ridicule!
Or why not check out my website? That's pretty cool as well!
"There is no me. I don't exist. There used to be a me, but I had it surgically removed." ~ Peter Sellers to Kermit (the Frog)
"Earl wouldn't try to kill Randy. Earl loves Randy. We're like peanut butter and jelly. Peanut butter wouldn't try to kill jelly. ...We're in the same sandwich!" ~ Randy on My Name Is Earl
Jokes with squirrels and/or sandwiches involved pretty much always make me laugh. That is a Sara given.
Create your own visitor map!
"Each time I go to the zoo, I get enraged to see all the innocent animals encaged. With our lying and war and crime and bombing and greed, it's we who should be locked up and the animals freed." ~ Emo Philips
My humble dedication to Jemaine & Bret. I'm kinda proud of it. :D
"Amy Winehouse punched an audience member the other day. Which is a perfect example of the shit hitting the fan." ~ Eric Idle

My Interests

writing; comedy; listening to music; mind-blowing movies; funny, intelligent television; Disney's The Haunted Mansion attraction; singing; dancing around; randomly bursting into song and dance numbers in public places; being cheerful; squirrels; polar bears; other cute things; sticking size stickers that come off of jeans onto parts of my body; palindrome names like Otto and Hannah; love...

I'd like to meet:

"And remember, my sentimental friend, that a heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others." ~ The Wizard of Oz to the Tin Man

ALIVE PEOPLE:
I was fortunate enough to meet Bret McKenzie & Jemaine Clement in May of 2008. However, I would love to meet them again, because they are incredibly kind and just genuinely fun to chat with. I would also love to meet my fellow Flight of the Conchords fans, because they are also such fun to talk to. :) Apart from FOTC-related people (including Kristen Schaal, Rhys Darby and Arj Barker), I would love to meet Uni & Her Ukelele, Age Pryor, Pete Townshend, Eric Idle, Emo Philips, Dana Carvey and Bill Murray.

"Life's like a movie, write your own ending. Keep believing, keep pretending. We've done just what we've set out to do, thanks to the lovers, the dreamers and you..." ~ Kermit & The Muppets

NOT ALIVE PEOPLE: I wish I could tell the following people how much they have inspired me. And give them each a hug. Gilda Radner; John Belushi; Phil Hartman; John Entwistle; John Lennon; George Harrison; Graham Chapman; Jim Henson; Jimmy Stewart; Peter Sellers; Audrey Hepburn.

"If I spoke prose, you'd all find out I don't know what I talk about!" ~ Jeremy Hillary Boob, Ph.D. in Yellow Submarine

AHAHA. Countdown complete. Mission a success. I'm keeping this.

"Oh, now you're saying that I'm redundant. That I repeat myself. That I say things OVER and OVER!" ~ Fraiser (Kelsey Grammar) on Cheers

Chick-Fil-A is evil

If you eat at Chick-Fil-A, don't. The Chicken Boy was nice and flirty with me yesterday, probably so he could distract me while he put poison into my chicken salad sandwich. Plus, their honey mustard ...
