Being the daughters of American Music Award and Grammy Award winning R&B songstress / producer team, Wayne Vaughn (Earth Wind & Fire) and Wanda Vaughn (The Emotions), it was no wonder that Wendi & YN would pursue their first love of music and follow it as their endeavored career.Message artists, with a clear appreciation and gift for music, these two sisters are unique examples of the multi-faceted artistic concept, “the triple threat.” Published music credits (ASCAP, BMI) since the age of 13 and the ability to sing, rap, produce tracks and performs poetry, Wendi & YN give audiences a refreshing appreciation and recognition for innovative talent. College graduates and former youth educators by day, Wendi & YN also coordinate and host non-profit events, often featuring celebrity performers such as Stevie Wonder. Wendi & YN’s passion for philanthropy makes their music a perfect vessel to deliver and promote educational awareness to troubled teens in Southern California and internationally (Africa). Wendi & YN’s success has largely been attributed to the wise counsel of their father. YN states, "Our daddy always taught us to have a plan B as strong as your plan A, plan A being our musical destiny. So before we could enter into the music industry, he made us secure bachelor degrees, as he did, so we then would have options in case we ever grew tired of the downfalls in this industry."Wendi continues saying, “Our audience is anyone with an open mind to love music in all its forms and allows itself to be entertained without all the 'hatin' critics have to offer. Actually, that's exactly what our music is: real, straight from the heart.”"That’s real talk," Wyann agrees. “You can't deny the passion in our music, for sure!"Having written the single "All in the Way" for Earth, Wind & Fire’s album "The Promise" and being featured on new projects, such as YoYo's latest single featuring Snoop Dogg "Did It for Us" and Snoop Dogg's recent compilation release, “Welcome to the Church- Da Album,” their song "If" featuring Snoop Dogg who sings their chorus with new talent J. Black, Wendi & YN are no strangers to the game. You can also check them out on Snoop’s recent DVD release entitled “Bossin’ Up.” Their song collaboration is titled “No sticks, No seeds”.This talented pair have worked and collaborated with several legendary music industry pioneers such as The Emotions, Taste of Honey, Maurice White and Stevie Wonder. Wendi & YN also have had the privilege to work with current and popular established artist such as Snoop Dogg, YoYo, Warren G, No Jazz, DJ Quik, Battlecat, T Foxx, Spit Fiya, Bishop Lamont, Mykestro and Trek Life.Currently Wendi &YN are producing and writing songs for Stevie Wonder’s daughter, Grammy Award nominated (06’) Aisha Morris.
