From the wreckage of Wisconsin pop punk band "Ben Grim" comes a new vision, The Jennifer Echo. Peter Saturday (vocal/Bass) and Joel Vega (vocals/guitar) met up once again this time in Portland, Oregon. It wasn’t long before the idea of a rock band entered their minds and hearts. With nothing left to lose they began writing their unique brand of hook-laden guitar pop while auditioning dozens of guitar players without the right match. Finally though, one grey drizzling portland afternoon, they met The Express, ex-"Break Up" (Santa Barbara, CA) guitarist. It took no more than 30 seconds of listening to him play to realize that he was the perfect match. The songs and ideas began to truely take form and excitement was in the air once again. With the Express’s creative influence pushing the songs to a higher level the picture was clear: a drummer was needed to complete the band. After what seemed like an eternity searching for the perfect match in skill and character they met Jim Wadsworth of Reno Nevada (Sabretooth Tiger, Vae Victis). It was an omen upon first meeting Jim, just by the "Descendents" tattoo on his leg alone that he would be the one who would beat the skins and push the songs even further than originally imagined. Kindly, Jim is also contributing his voice in order to make whole the ulitimate live vocal-harmony-trifecta! The line-up is complete. With nothing more than their honesty and the love of creation, they are now beginning again, with hopes and dreams which they thought had been forgotten.

"Fuckin’ A!!! From the remains of the lesser known yet still great pop punk band BEN GRIM from the ’90s comes this killer power pop band. Touches of the pop greatness of the DESCENDENTS and the DOUGHBOYS still remain. Also the spirit of Wiz (RIP) of MEGA CITY FOUR lives on in these bands that were influenced by him in the melodic hey days of the ’90s. A great four-song EP with hopefully more to follow soon." -MAXIMUMROCKNROLL
"THE JENNIFER ECHO has the genuine approach needed to win over jaded pop listeners like myself" -pastepunk.com
"This takes every element I like of punk and rock and combines it perfectly to create a 4 track EP that will have people that miss good music shouting out loud"- allageszine.com
"Upon listening to this CD EP I was instantly a fan! They remind me of Doughboys during their "Shine" or "Turn Me On" periods with a little bit of early Reggie & the Full Effect poured in for good measure. Very melodic with lots of hooks, harmonies and the musicianship is excellent, which equals great sing-along songs" -crimezine.com
"If the Jennifer Echo had a decent distributor, their song „The Last Disaster“ would be one of this year’s major summer chartbusters. Universal Records, say something." - thegap.at
"Traces of Weezer’s Blue Album are clearly visible in "There’s A Halo." And, while "Last Disaster" could belong on a TBS album, it’s better than anything that they could create. Its electronica-infused melody has the happy-go-lucky tune that parallels the harsh reality of the lyrics. If these boys can keep up the rock throughout a full-length album, they’ll for sure bring credibility to the genre to even the staunchest of disbelievers." ~Magic Stick Mish / Suburbanhorror.com

"Extremely Strong debut 4 song EP from The Jennifer Echo who remind us of a whole host of fave bands here like The Tories, The Blakes(now Readymade Breakup) and other bands who have mastered the ground of crunchy ’n loud guitar driven power pop A new band with a bright, bright future and one we can’t wait to hear a full CD from."- notlame.com
"The Jennifer Echo have a stronger guitar sound and a biting alternative edge that pulls them away from spongerock bands that sound just like every other band out there."-Roughedge.com
"This EP is a delightful romp into colorful and creative rock " - SkylinePress.com
"Think a musical cocktail of Weezer, early Rich Creamy Paint, The Tories, and The Model Rockets and you have a real good idea of they’re about!" -koolkatmusic.com
