A friend once described me as "well Jennie, I guess I'd describe her as someone that's just not that into America" I find that the older I get the less true this statement becomes but it definately was right on for many, many years. America and I are coming to terms with one another, little by little, but we still have a long way to go............................................polyglot(adj): A mixture or Confusion of Languages................................................... .......I took a personality test...it told me these are my personality traits...I think it did a pretty good job................messy, disorganized, social, tough, outgoing, rarely worries, self revealing, open, risk taker, likes the unknown, likes large parties, makes friends easily, likes to stand out, likes to make fun of people, reckless, optimistic, positive, strong, does not like to be alone, ambivalent about chaos, abstract, impractical, not good at saving money, fearless, trusting, thrill seeker, not rule conscious, enjoys leadership, strange, loves food, abstract, rarely irritated, anti-authority, attracted to the counter culture

Traveling with my violin, beautiful Sicily, speaking languages,making music, taking photographs of brightly colored scenes and faces, Smelling delicious things that make you remember other delicious moments, Latin America, champagne, hiking, TANGO, Buenos Aires, playing violin, Brazilian percussion, Watching people when you are alone, trains, Bolivia, beaches at night, Italians when they are in a good mood, people that make me laugh and laugh and laugh, intelligent people who aren't pretentious, Good snappy sarcasm

Musicians, (especially musicians born before 1930), world travelers, hat wearers, salsa dancers, the spontanious and mildly eccentric....people who make me laugh and are full of good stories......

I was brought up without a television......but I am easily entertained...........but I guess I'd have to say I hate tv, cause I hate commercials..... in any country and any language, they are like the devil.....

Perfume, Zorro, South American Short stories, everything by Reinaldo Arenas, The old man who read love stories, The Alchemist, Neruda, Garcia Lorca, The old man and the sea (we keep coming back to the old men thing don't we...sorry...)...

Heroes:

Just about any time I meet an old man, especially a foreign one, that plays an instrument and sings me a song...I feel like they become my hero. Nothing against old ladies, but they don't sing to me that often.
