Look Up!

About Me

Max , as he is sometimes known, found himself working on Ambient/Downtempo music almost by accident. With guitar as his main instrument and initially only a general but steadily growing interest in keyboards, he began to experiment with software synths, samples, loops and the soundscapes that brought him to a place of peace. Most often, he found that the resulting music reminded him of a theme or passage in the Bible. This ultimately led him to begin work on his first Ambient project designed to inspire the listener to focus and meditate on suggested scripture passages.
Offerings and Dreams is done but Max can still be found buried in the studio under the soft glow of computer screens, keyboards and lava lamps letting the creative juices flow! It's time for an Offerings and Dreams web-release! Click on the link to get the full CD!

Hey everyone , Max here! Life is full of music if you just listen. It's everywhere you go. At work or in the car, malls, elevators. There's even a natural rythym that exists in nature.
I really enjoy music. Working with my wife Karen co-writing, or playing guitar, bass or keys is all great fun and I can't think of a better way to spend time than being creative. That especially holds true when the music we're creating is expressing our heart of worship to God.
We've put together a small studio, Walkdown Sound, just to capture some of the music we make and give others the opportunity as well. If you are looking to get your original musical ideas recorded for a demo, full-length CD or just to keep an audio diary of your material, we are ready to help! We have a special place in our hearts for musicians who are just starting out. Just email me and we can get together for a coffee and talk about making your music something that everyone can enjoy!
Make sure you stop by Karen's space to hear music from her CD, Desperate Cry .
Visit our web site to see all the different things we're doing at First Kiss Music and in our studio, Walkdown Sound.____________________________________________________ ___________________

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: For all the Ambient material, it's just me for the time being. Ambient music has a special place in my heart. Why? I'm not entirely sure but I have a general idea.
The music we love is a product of each persons make up and experiences. It's woven together to create the musical language that best helps us commune with our inner-self and also with God. I suppose in Ambient textures I find peace and the One who gives peace that passes all understandiing.
Here's a pic of part of my project studio.

Influences: Sting, Pink Floyd, Phil Keaggy, August Burns Red, Larry Norman, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Daniel Amos, David Ruis, Genesis, BB King, Santana, Boston, Dan Gibson, Michael Maxwell, Tom Howard, Steve Miller Band, The Eagles, Elvis, U2, Bryan Adams, Joe Satriani, Johann Sebastian Bach, ELO, Fixed Til Tuesday, Tom Petty, Beethoven.
