I am here for Friends

About Me

Really easy going ole timer/big kid (at heart!) Been around since the Bobby Sox, Valentinos, Royalty days. Great memories!!!.Don't take too many things serious in life, hard enough without complicating it further.LOVE laughter, can't get enough of it. Biggest thing in my life are my 3 sons. They're my world & my life!! Main passions are Music, Hotrods, Classics, Kustoms, Vintage clothes...& friendship. Oh & music! Did i mention MUSIC?!I'm DEADLY serious about genuine friendship. I'm fortunate to know people on our scene who have become REAL friends. Rare in this day & age. Got no time what-so-ever for false, two faced, pretentious, big headed bastards who think they're better than everyone else! I also detest those who judge others solely by vicious rumours, without even knowing that person!! Or people who can't stand to see others happy & having a good time. If you're at a club, or a weekender, come over & say hello. If i don't return the compliment the same evening or the following time i see you, bear with me. I'm completely shortsighted!!! I can't see a darn thing!!!! Oh & i waffle, (as if you haven't guessed!) especially when i've had a drink. That was quite brief wasn't it??!!PLEASE STOP REQUESTING TO BE MY FRIEND IF YOU HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON WITH ME. AT LEAST TAKE THE TIME TO READ MY PROFILE FIRST!!!!

My Interests

ANYTHING to do with the Double Bass, Hotrods, Classics, Kustoms, Kustom Kulture,Goofy, Hot rod art, pin up art, Tattoos, (especially good body ink on women) pinstriping (what i'd give to be able to stripe certain rods & Kustoms from years gone by, Elvis' rod, the original Hirohata Merc, etc, etc) & vintage clothing.

I'd like to meet:

Sincere, real people with similar interests. Also, Goofy & the security guard at the NHRA museum, which is where Elvis' roadster from Loving you is stored. Paul mcartney, but only to ask him if i can have a slap on Bill Blacks bass! Jammy bastard has it!! Jimmy Shine, to ask if his awesome pick up should reside in my garage?!! Or if i could get him pissed enough to build me a nostalgic 40' Ford!! (NO LONGER WITH US)Obviously Elvis!John Wayne (The greatest actor to grace a western!)Tommy Cooper,Laurel & Hardy, Eric Morecombe, Dick Emery, Ronnie Barker & the one & only Dean Martin. (LIVING)Ray Winstone, Robert DeNiro, Jack Nicholson, Norman Wisdom.....

Music:

From the age of 12 i was obsessed about buying original records. Whether it was original 45's or albums, i couldn't get enough of them! I use to buy from a private collector/seller who lived quite close to my home. I only bought 45's from him. My first two was, mamas little baby/raw deal, mint on Meteor & crash the party, mint on Antler. I was also (& still am) a Gene Vincent nut & bought every original thing he'd done. Unfortunately, when the kids came along, those little gems & the rest had to go! Mind you, i think what i got in its place was more than a fair trade! Other great artists to list a few, Rockabilly, especially Charlie Feathers, Ronnie Dawson (who saw him at his last gig here at the rave?) white label, chess/checker, King, Federal, Starday, Meteor, Sun. Blues, rhythm 'n' blues, British rock 'n' roll, Joe Turner, Roy Brown, Link Wray, early Charlie Rich, Dean Martin & lots more, anything with a beat. I've never known any other music in the last 32 years that makes me jump & move around quite like it.

Movies:

ANY John Wayne western, spagetti westerns, Laurel & Hardy, Norman Wisdom, great escape, American Graffiti, Hot Rod, Two Lane Blacktop, Heart like a wheel,Spartacus, The Vikings, Ben Hur, James Dean, Lots of the old B movies, Girl can't help it, blazing saddles, It's a mad, mad, mad, world, Leslie Phillips, Pink Panther (Peter Sellers) Terry Thomas.

Television:

Depending on my shifts........Mainly things that make me laugh. Anything with Ronnie Barker in, Morecambe & Wise, Steptoe & Son, Dick Emery, Tommy Cooper, Showing my age here huh?! The Simpsons,The CSI series. American Hot Rod,Hot Rod build off, Miami Ink, Only fools & Horses. Aside from this little lot, not much else.

Books:

The odd biography, history, music & then it's mainly......Car Kulture Deluxe, Kustoms Illustrated, Old Skool Rodz, Hop Up, Rev, Magneto, Wrench, Smokin Shutdown, Primer, Rod 'n' Custom, Hot Rods Illustrated & others.

Heroes:

My mother & my late father, who died way too young & too soon & was the most incredible man i've ever met.My incredible fiancee who leaves me speechless with her amazing qualities & my 3 sons who continue to make me so proud & thankful in everyway.
