John McCay, has announced his candidacy for the 4th Congressional District of Mississippi. McCay, a Republican, officially filed papers with the State Republican Party on Friday. He is a United Methodist Minister and a member of the Mississippi Air National Guard. The 32-year-old Republican is a life long resident of the district. In 1993, he graduated from Gulfport High School. McCay earned his Associate of Arts degree from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in 1995 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1997. He then, in 2000, graduated from the Memphis Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree.
“I promise to work diligently to serve the people of the 4th Congressional District.”
Support smaller government
We need to put the role of the Federal Government back in its place.
Fight illegal immigration by securing our borders
If we remove the incentives and tighten security we will halt this invasion.
Protect Veteran's rights and benefits
We can no longer neglect those who risk everything in service to our Great Nation.
Protect our 2nd Amendment rights
Gun laws only help criminals and gun ownership is not about hunting.
Support our military
I support a strong all volunteer military. Our military men and women deserve the best equipment and benefits to do their jobs. They are putting their lives on the line for us.
Stop the out of control spending in DC
We must establish sound monetary policies to balance our budget and cut spending. We cannot print money out of thin air.
Help attract new jobs
As a facilitator, I can bring the right people to the table to have a positive economic impact within the 4th district.
Protect and Defend the Constitution and our Constitutional Rights
We should respect the rule of law and we should never trade liberty for security.
Continue Hurricane Katrina Recovery
A revitalization package to stimulate the local economy.
Lower Taxes
American taxpayers work extremely hard for their money. The tax burden is way too heavy on taxpayers. It is time taxpayers keep more of their hard earned money in their "pursuit of happiness." End the IRS!
