I have been tattooing professionally since 1995 and without any formal training or apprenticeship I therefore consider myself a self-taught tattoo artist. Working on larger scale projects is my main preference and tend to favor portraiture and realism captured through nature, wildlife, and horror-related tattoo themes. These subjects always seem to be the most intense yet rewarding endeavors to execute. In my opinion, I think what makes a great tattoo is a piece that flows fluidly with the contour and section of the body part it exists on. Proper placement containing imagery that is clean and easily read at first sight, I feel, is also essential.
