A lot of Blood, Sweat & Tears went into making SHADES OF 8. With virtually NO band other than friend (and guitar player) Steve Frangadakis by my side, I set out to make a timeless record that could cross over genres and appeal to people globally. I made a REAL record, with REAL songs, REAL musicians and NO BULLSHIT!!!
At the helm... engineering, mixing & producing the record was DOUG TRANTOW. I could not have done this without his talent and expertise. Doug's engineering, mixing & producing credits include such platinum selling artists as NINE INCH NAILS, HANSON, SUBLIME, BETTER THAN EZRA, BARENAKED LADIES, HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH & KORN and on.
IN THE STUDIO were friends and world-renowned musicians MARCO MENDOZA on Bass (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Soul Sirkus, The Cranberries), JOEY HEREDIA on Drums (Steve Lukather, Perry Farrell, Nuno Bettencourt), JOHN NAU ..s (James Blunt, Hootie & The Blowfish) and JON FITZGERALD handling percussion duties. ABOUT ME? I am Peruvian/French/Yugoslavian. Born & Raised in L.A, I began playing music at the age of 8, studying the saxophone then eventually learning to play half-a-dozen other woodwind instruments. At 14, came the electric guitar and my LIFE changed 4-ever.... Along the way I taught myself the bass and piano
Since then it's been a whirlwind of musical endeavors. Performing in venues all over the U.S. and abroad, working with dozens of touring cover bands, recording & touring with successful latin-rock band DESVIO in the the late 90's, writing & recording with BRET MICHAELS (of POISON fame) for his solo debut in 2003, writing for film & television and performing with the late great drummer Tony Thompson (of Power Station, David Bowie and Chic fame to name a few)
SUMMER 2008 WILL TAKE ME & MY BAND TO EUROPE OPENING SEVERAL DATES FOR ROCK LEGENDS FOREIGNER.. STAY TUNED !!!
