PATRICK BERNAUW leidt een productiehuis van interactief theater en multimedia, dat zich de jongste tijd vooral concentreert op moordspelen, stadsspelen en "alternate reality games" voor teambuilding events. Hij schreef ontelbare romans, verhalen, essays, toneelstukken en radio- en televisie-scenario's, zowel voor volwassenen als voor de jeugd. Zijn werk werd vertaald in het Frans, het Duits, het Noors, het Italiaans, het Spaans en het Pools. Hij werd onderscheiden met de Prijs Knokke Heist Beste Jeugdroman, de Eule des Monats (Duitsland), de John Flandersprijs voor Vlaamse Filmpjes, de Wim Verbeke Prijs voor Jeugdtheater, de Sabam Prijs voor Toneel en de Prijs van de Provincie Oost-Vlaanderen voor luisterspel. Zijn meest recente werken zijn historische thrillers voor volwassenen: "Het Bloed van het Lam" (2006) en "Nostradamus in Orval" (2007). In 1998 richtte Patrick het muziektheatergezelschap Compagnie de Ballade op, dat zowel voor een volwassenen publiek als voor jongeren speelt. Sindsdien trekt het gezelschap met een wisselende bezetting door Vlaanderen, op dit moment vooral met een mix van stand up comedy en muziek, "De Sterke Verhalen Blues". In 2005 werd Compagnie de Ballade onderscheiden met de prestigieuze Visser Neerlandia Prijs voor Musical, voor de productie "Scharpenelle", waarvan een aantal liedjes ook terugkeren in het muziektheater "De Engel van Mons" (zie MySpace video's en blog).
