Started playing piano at the age of 10. First records were Herbie Hancock "Man Child" and Boston's self-titled debut. Musical influences since then have been just as diverse. Steely Dan has to be at the top of the list, though. Played in several bands in college, experimenting with jazz fusion styles and writing some original instrumental music, then joined a Christian pop band by the name of Change of Heart in Eugene, Oregon. After that group split, went back to school to finish music degree, then joined the Portland-based band Versus formed by a couple of COH alums. After 2 custom albums, a record deal, a move to Nashville, and three kids, I am back in the Northwest in software engineering, with a side of music.
