The next one, SIGHT comes out this Fall.In some stores, my book is next to the Gossip Girls, and I worry that those glossy girls might start rumors about my book, or maybe give it the silent treatment. That's fine, because my book will just go hang out with Cynthia Voight's Tillermans.

Movies:

I've been told I have a reputation for liking really bad movies. To which I respond, have you SEEN the grease fight in The Transporter? Or the get-in-shape-girl montage from Blue Crush? There is NOTHING wrong with any movie in which a man breaks off and clicks into some toe-clippy things from a bicylce in order to gain traction to fight better his enemies while sliding around on a grease-covered floor. And also you KNOW that you totally repeated the line "You flew here, we GREW here" to yourself in the bathroom mirror, because you wish a little bit that you were born in Hawaii and therefore had the right to beat up mainlanders when they came to your top-secret surf spot.

Television:

Kill your television. But please stay away from mine, because bad reality TV is my guilty pleasure, except without the guilt part. Even though between work-work and writing-work I can only aspire to be a true couch potato, I will totally dedicate a half hour to see somebody get voted off something.
