rotterdam based percussionist :::born in berlin , he imitated his father, who was a drummer :::he started playing the drums himself during highschool in the big-band by the age of 13, while off school, he rehearsed with his metal band:::later he got more into funk , but a coincidence introduced him to brazilian music :::he started picking up anything he could learn about the percussions played in rio , recife and salvador da bahia :::when he returned from his first trip to brasil, things became more serious:::he decided to move to the netherlands to attend the worldmusic course held at the consevatory of rotterdam.::there, he got in touch with latin-styles, jazz , indian, eastern and electronic music :::plus came the improvisation with dancers , who share the same building:::All these contacts caused a big mess to his artistic mind:::This made him, what he is today: a musician on the search for making it his own way:::
