I was born in Lisbon in 1978 and I start my musical studies in 1998, studying at the Jazz school of Hot club of Portugal, following one year later studies at the classical Conservatorium of Lisbon, moving to the Netherlands (Rotterdam’s Conservatorium) in 2002.
I begin playing in many different jazz formations in Portugal,where I still have some projects going on ("Yeti Project"), and in the Netherlands, such as "ATOS",with Lucas Acuna and Marcos Baggiani.
I like to play in ensembles which are directed to the concept of free impro, such as "Michal Osowsky Collective" (Michal Osowsky-electronics;Daisuke Terauchi,voice,flute,small instr.;Tamaho Miyake,voice ,theramin,small instr.;Wieland Moeller,drums), "Tetterapadequ" (Daniele Martini-tenor sax;Giovani di Domenico-piano;João Lobo-drums).and only solo doublebass impro working along with modern dance-theater and visual arts.In the area of workshops and lessons, I had chance to have contact with Rufus Reid, Essie Essie,Hein van Geyn,Stefan Lievestro,Omar Avital ,Carlos Bica,Wilbert de Joode,Peter Leerdam.
At the moment Im living in Rotterdam, following a Master degree,and enjoying to work along with different musicians...
