Pabst Blue Ribbon
Safe times make great times.,,
A slogan? Yes, but something we take very seriously.
It's been said that a brand is a promise, made consistently to its consumers over time. Something that connects with them. Something they can rely on. At Pabst Brewing Company, a big part of our promise is to be responsible - and we trust that you'll do the same.
How can you make sure that every time is a safe time?
To us, that means four main things:
Share the responsibility. Being safe is everyone's business. That includes the people who make and sell our products, serve our products and consume our products. We all play a part in making sure that all alcoholic beverages are enjoyed carefully and in moderation. And each one of us can prevent alcohol misuse, drunk driving and underage drinking.
Look out for yourself. Drinking age is thinking age, and if you're over 21, you're old enough to take full responsibility for your actions. Using alcohol is a choice, so know your limits, and if you've been drinking, don't drive - anything. Life doesn't have a rewind button or a "take two" when things get out of hand. When you're in control, you can make the right choices and still have a great time.
Take care of others. If you're a real friend, don't let your friends take chances with their lives and the lives of others. Keep an eye on everyone in your group, and don't hesitate to encourage someone to save the next one for next time. You only have so many chances to show what a good friend you are, so make the most of every opportunity to do so. Taking care of others also means refusing to allow underage drinking. It's your responsibility as an adult, no matter whose children are involved and whether you drink or not.
Get help if you need it. Alcohol is meant to be consumed occasionally, and in moderation, not abused. If you or someone you know is showing signs of abuse or dependence, there are many places to turn for help. Most communities have substance abuse education and treatment resources available to both teenagers and adults. If you're unsure who to call, your personal doctor or local hospital can be a good place to start.
