Art / Photography :

I have always been interested in a lot of art forms, with great respect for people who have te gift of composing something, drawings, paintings, literature, music, ... and who found a stage for it. An art gallery, a scene, a novel, a concerthall, places where other people come to enjoy their achievements. If there would be real magic ... I guess I would ask for that ‘gift’.

But I have my own ways to be creative, to create things that in the first place, I, Like. And then it’s ofcourse nice to get some positive feedback ... but it doesn’t have to be ‘loved’ worldwide.

So, for instance I take a lot of pictures. Like everybody else, on hollidays, but very often also of things I’m impressed by, in nature, people, things or events that usually pass by in life, that I want to keep as a kind of diary, to visualise the memorie. People who I meet and sometimes never see again. Pictures that will never be in art galleries, not made following any rules of the art form. ;-) I just make them, get prints of it and start making photo albums. Compositions, where I cut and paste pages that I find atractive to look at ‘later’, who tell a story, like a movie, but with sepparated snapshots. And ofcourse it’s nice that the people I live with enjoy it. But it’s ok if they don’t. :-)

Every picture, even when it didn’t work out as it should have, reflects a moment in time. So I don’t trow it away but I try to use it as a part of the ‘story’. That’s what I try to achieve on this space too. Telling a story about an event I’ve been to and how I saw it. A sliding album that shows the atmosphere at an event.

So I guess this space is my ‘stage’ to perform. I hope you like it as much as I do !

I love to take pictures that show a moment that you where there too, at events, concerts, parties, and that in the end show the atmosphere and how people express ‘passion’ or ‘enjoyement’ for a while, sometimes a moment of Extacy, captured and focused by the camera.

Music :

I just love it ! Only if you love music too you will know what I mean when I say that it affects the way you feel. It can make people happy or sad, and it can intensify your mood. Some artists I know tell me their music is a way to express their own feelings. Maybe that’s the reasson we like them so much, because we understand them.

For a few years I learned to play the guitar but I prefer now to just enjoy it. Over the years I collected a lot of records, cd’s, music on I-tunes and when I travelled I carried a shitload of those things in my lugage, so I’m very happy they invented mp3 players. :-)

Apart from all that I love to ride my motorcycle. Cruisin’ around, enjoying the surroundings, in a way feeling free ... (what a cliché) But I do love it. Riding to nowhere and somewhere, relaxing at a nice place for a while and returning home. Leaving daily occupations ... Enjoying Life !
