In June 2007 Seretone embarked on their first ever tour of the good ol US of A. Playing 14 gigs in just under three weeks, this American adventure included rapturous headline shows in New York, New Jersey and Boston. Overwhelmed by the incredibly positive reception they received on the other side of the pond, and with numerous industry contacts showing a keen interest in the band, they have since returned to UK shores to promote the release of their brand new four track EP, GLOW.
Following on from their highly successful debut album, SECRET ROBOT ROMANCE, GLOW showcases the imaginative and original songwriting talents of these four young men from Nottingham. No pretentiousness, no subscribing to overindulged styles and scenes, just little synth pop masterpieces driven by dangerously addictive hooks and passionate vocals. With a well deserved reputation as one of the most exciting and energetic live bands on the live circuit, Seretone are currently back in the studio preparing for their forthcoming UK tour in Autumn 2007. Keep an eye out for them in a town near you.
"the band have stamped their mark on their style by creating songs which have a funky-electro sound to merge with the typical acoustic talents that, to be quite honest, aren't hard to find at present, which is what makes it so difficult now to stand out as a genre breaking, in demand group of musicians, showcasing fresh material. The whole set consisted of a collaboration of versatile songs, infused with different musical genre's to create a unique sounding blast of fresh new tracks that would give any commercial up and coming group a run for their money.
But Seretone have managed to nail this, and that is what makes them such an exciting unpredictable "one to watch".By Lauren Bradshaw.bbc.co.uk
"Seretone have produced an amazingly 1980s album without it sounding outdated or obsolete. Perhaps its the bipolar mix of incessant nostalgia and incredible forward thinking. Its an LP of short snappy pop, with bucketfuls of head-noddingly ace songs. Seretone are so achingly now, it's as if the radio's been waiting for them to show up." 4/5 AH, Nottingham Evening Post
"With a present like ours, the good people of Nottingham are always looking to the future, and none more so than electronic rock outfit Seretone. Debut album Secret Robot Romance on organic records where singalong choruses go hand in hand with heavy guitar riffs and echoing synths - at times very 80's, at others, very now." Exposed Magazine
"At last I see the point in 80's pop rock music...it is inspiring brilliant music like this!"
