Mission statement:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Pirates for CHOC was created to raise funds to support the efforts of various children’s hospitals in their valiant efforts to further the well-being and the quality of care for children in need. We play games, hand out toys, and bring joy and laughter to these wonderful children in a time when a smile can be the best medicine.History
For those of you who are not familiar with our organization Pirates for CHOC stands for Pirates for Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Pirates for CHOC was founded in 2007 by Evan Pagay, a local Orange County DJ and Jack Sparrow impersonator, along with Matt Stone, owner of Seawolf Clothing, and Vivienne Fisk who has dedicated herself to finding corporate sponsors.Evan and Matt gathered a group of piratical celebrities and entertainers and visited the patients and their families at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Costumed pirates and celebrities handing out toys, joking and entertaining the children brought smiles to everyone’s faces.Later that day, Pirates for CHOC held its first fundraising event at Club 195 nightclub (formerly Boomerangs) in Anaheim, May of 2007. The event was a great success and Pirates for CHOC will be returning to Club 195 on May 2, 2008 for another exciting night of fundraising.
