Scott Shipley has been performing since the age of five. His musical journey has taken him through 48 states, 23 countries, and across five continents......and counting! He is an award winning multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. He has shared the stage with everyone from Bill Monroe to Kid Rock, and everyone in between.....Johnny Cash, Stonewall Jackson, David Lee Murphy, Big and Rich, Jan Howard, Porter Wagoner, Dierks Bentley, Little Jimmy Dickens, Dick Dale, Gail Davies, Commander Cody, Robert Randolph, Joe Nichols, and The Blackwood Brothers Quartet, just to name a few. He performs regularly as a solo entertainer, with his own band Snake Oil, and can also be found teaching guitar workshops around his busy tour schedule. His music reflects his passion and wide ranging musical interests. His performances can range from all out deep delta Blues to high lonesome Bluegrass. From traditional Country music to vintage roadhouse Rhythm and Blues. From his Gospel roots to his "southern-fried" influences. Scott's diverse musical background is also evident by his performance schedule. From performing in a Broadway production in London's historic West End theatre district.....to being the featured artist on The Leadbelly Tribute Festival in Shreveport, Louisiana.....to headlining the International Mandolin Festival in Verazze, Italy. While his popularity as an artist in his own right grows, Scott continues to be a sought after sideman by well known artists from every genre of music, both in the studio and on the road.
