Ron Gallahan

Born in Fredericksburg,Virginia (U.S.) on May 18,1951.I live in King George,Virginia. I'm a member of:"The Blues Foundation","The Blues Hall Of Fame","The Martin Guitar Owner's Club",& "The United States Parachute Association". I'm a past member of: "Music City Blues Society","Tennessee Jazz & Blues Society","The R&B Foundation","The San Antonio Blues Society","The Austin Blues Society","The Washington,D.C. Blues Society",& I'm a former member of "The United States Marine Corps" (1968-1972-Semper Fi!).I spent my time in the Corps as a grunt(Infantry).I'm a past member of "The Marine Corps League"(Mickey Finn Hall-Quantico,Va.),"American Legion Post 320",the "Veterans of Foreign Wars",& some private clubs here in the U.S.,& a few other countries as well.I'm pretty much retired these days.I play guitar for my own entertainment,and jam with an old friend now & then.This site is not intended as a dating service type site at all.It's a real music lover's type site.I love many types of music,not just the blues.But blues music is my main love in life.That,collecting guitars,most things having to do with music,& jumping out of an airplane every now & then.The photo you see of me playing that D'Angelico "limited edition" is an older photo,taken afew years back(around 2002 I think).I honestly didn't know people would really read what I wrote here,so I've gone back over this and taken out alot of items about myself & old friends,& will continue to update this from time to time.When I wasn't involved in music or working clubs in one way or another I worked for Sun Oil Co.,Shell Oil Co., Royal Crown Cola & Nehi companies,Coca-Cola Co.,& The Miller Beer Co.(all those in the mid 1970's thru 1980's).I also worked during those times & after as a bartender,bouncer,booking agent/promoter for some clubs & bands here & around the country,and a roadie,when I felt like traveling with friends.And I was a small partner in a blues club that lasted for me about two years,I think.Maybe three(Those years are real hazy).But it's been some years since I've been involved in the music business in any form at all.Please support your local musicians.Many Thanks.
