Fools of April are: Bec Fortune on Vocals, Cameron Dobie on Guitars/Vocals, Tom Fryer on Bass and Shinok Mizuno on Drums.
FOA formed in February of 2005 at TAFE Leederville and throughout the year they developed a reputation as having a great sound, catchy riffs, and an energetic live performance. They then caught the attention of punters at the TAFE end of year band competition at the Rosemount Hotel where the band placed third. There sound derives from from influences such as Dream Theater, Korn, Motley Crue, Little Birdy, Linkin Park and Sevendust just to name a few.
"Female vocalist, Bec Fortune, adds an edgy Katy Steele presence to the bands appearance, through her movement and vibe on stage, however with a more dulcet sensual rock voice. Throughout the band's set, deep hard slugging moments of music captured the audiences attention, complimented by some stunning shining moments on guitar, adding flavour and 'brightness' to the solid rock set. All in all the band engaged it's audience, and was applauded for their efforts."....."And so came the end to another quality S.L.A.M evening, with standouts like Fools of April, Neon Kelly and Battlecat, who all earnt their honorable mention, and should be experienced as soon as their humanly possible." ^Add to the 'About me' section to have this banner that links back here - Thanks^
