EMERALD CITY

Bring back old skool Rock n Roll

About Me

Bio:
Hailing from Perth, Western Australia with the trail and error of many garage bands and two years in the making, EMERALD CITY are finally here to deliver a great straight ahead rock & roll show with all the antics and mayhem that there predecessors like Guns N’ Roses, Kiss and Motley Crüe had enraged audiences with some 25 years earlier.
With only having been on the Perth live scene for less than a year, EMERALD CITY have been able to sell out Amplifier Bar for their band launch, tour W.A, support platium oz bands The Screaming Jets and Taxiride and play Burswood Theatre in support of KISS frontman Paul Stanley on his Live To Win solo tour in front of 2000 people. Futhermore so the boys biggest achievement so far comes in the form of Black Bettys were they were headliners to a sold out venue (500 people) on the queens birthday long weekend playing with a full stage show & set-up, which included fireworks and raised the bar for live local shows in Perth. Not to be outdone though the band then headlined Club Capitol two months later pulling over 600 for there xmas show, playing it once again the only way they know how OVER THE TOP in there quest to BRING BACK OLD SKOOL RNR.
With screaming guitar lines and big sing along choruses, the basics of any great rock and roll band, along with a full stage show and set up, EMERALD CITY is a MUST SEE for EVERYONE!!!

QuotEs:
"Could easily see Perth’s suburban pub goers going wild over these guys"
- Xpress Mag March 07’
"Emerald City appeared onstage to a rapturous applause and it must be warned, Emerald City are not merely infulenced by the glam rock bands of the late 70’s, they pretty much are one"
- Xpress Mag March 07’
"The band still managed to rise to the occasion, taking on a classic rock form (Kiss, Motley Crüe, GNR) that seems rarely embraced by Perth groups these days. Emerald City love it and live it."
- Xpress Mag May 07’
" Glam, cock or big hair rock, call it what you will, but Emerald City are the early pioneers of an exciting resurgence of monster 80’s rock n’ roll. Emerald City can easily bring on the white-hot stage show to backup their West Coast USA image"
- Rip-in Mag May 07’
" There are few words that I need to use to describe Emerald City’s shows. For those who have seen them, I won’t need to say anything. But for those who haven’t: Fireworks, flames & glitter cannons"
- Jacinta Mathews Oct 07’
" Perth’s Emerald City offer a brilliant glam rock experience, complete with carefully crafted original hard rock songs that will have you reminiscing about early Gunners & Poison"
- Rip-in Mag Dec 07’
" Emerald City herald a new generation of 80’s inspired soaring R’n’R bands happening right now and they know how to pen a killer song"
- Rip-in Mag Dec 07’
" The curtains fell and Emerald City were here and you knew you were in for a rock show that was going to shake the foundations"
- Perthbands.com Mar 08’
" From the moment the first set of fireworks exploded you felt that the roof was about to blow off the Civic, and if it did, no one would have cared as they were all too busy moshing to the big rock late 80’s inspired sound"
- Perthbands.com Mar 08’
