Nikki Dagostino is referred to on stage in outfit as "the red beret", her life... one big rehearsal in progress for the final production.From a young age, Nikki grew to hold a deep passion for music, with a love for performing and teaching music. She believes that music is not just her business, but her pleasure and most of all passion.
The West Australian based musician, Nikki Dagostino, started playing Classical piano at age 9 and the piano accordion at age eleven. She studied at Edith Cowan University, the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Perth Western Australia completing a Bachelor of Education, Majoring in Music and Drama from (2002- 2005). She received a scholarship for the Golden Key International Honour Society Award, in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement and excellence in education studies.Nikki Dagostino is Perth’s foremost Multicultural Musician and piano accordionist. She has concretised throughout Western Australia earning praise such as, "a once-in-a-lifetime experience". She has performed as a soloist amongst many corporate venues and settings in Perth, including winery festivals, spring in the valley tours, and various corporate indoor and outdoor 'swaave' functions.She has worked and performed with National Artists including: Graeme Lyall, Darryl Somers, James Morrison, Don Burrows, Joe Chindamo, Rove Mc Manus, Darryl Braithwaite, Patrick McMann, Tony, Pantano and late: The Drifters, Peter Puccini, Ross Maio, David Krygger, Eddie Stazack, to mention a few.
She has also played a support performance for the great international artist Toni Childs.
Nikki also had the great pleasure of serenading our current Prime Minister Mr.Kevin Rudd and his fellow politicians at a private dinner party.Nikki currently performs as an Accordioniste' with ‘Parisian divine elegance’- Pascale Michel Band in a 6 piece vibrant French ensemble, alluding to the exotic sounds of jazz, fusioned with vintage and classic Piaf and a unique niche visual outfit to touch off the edges.
To keep up to the challenge, Nikki has created a 5 piece busking style Oktoberfest band: teasing the sounds of German Polkas, Irish Gigues and other multi-cultural flavours- the ‘polka dots’ bounce their way around cultural festivals in the Western Australian region.
Nikki was an accredited member of the Western Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra: Composers Ensemble (WAYJO) from 2002-2005- performing accordion for selected orchestral pieces composed by Perth Artists.She was also an active member of the Perth Accordion Orchestra, directed by Mr. David Krygger- performing for many audiences and venues W.A wide.
She has endured many years in Musical productions as an accordionist; Fiddler on the Roof (St Hilda’s, Opera in Company, WAAPA, Mercedes College, Newman College, Churchlands Senior High) and Marco Polo (Camelot Theatre) and has been appointed Musical Director for Musicals including (Company (2004), Club Gargouille Part 2 (2007), Club Gargouille- Series 3 (2008,) under direction and creation of Mr. George White and Band director for Grease the musical (2009)

Her repertoire ranges from the Baroque to the Contemporary- touching on a dash of Western Tradition Classical and 20th Century pieces, a splash of Irish Gigues, a hint of German Polkas, an array of Italian Waltzes, Tango’s, and Tarantella’s, and a mixture of French Favourite ambient background music- including all of Piaf repertoire.Her repertoire ranges from the Baroque to the Contemporary- touching on a dash of Western Tradition Classical and 20th Century pieces, a splash of RnB/Electro, a hint of Pop, a milestone of Rock Classics, an array of Retro Glam, and a mixture of French and Italian Accordion Favourites.
Nikki Dagostino has recently recorded with Miss Grace Barbe from the Seychelles, in a reggae/soul setting, in which one of the songs on the album was awarded 1st place in the WAMI songwriters award, and ranked on the Top 100 Triple J Hits (2008). She is currently involved with a recording project for Perth Artist Ryan Webb, (Soundbaker Records- Rob Agostini (2008).).Nikki is also active as an educator, and Secondary Music Teacher- having taught young students to be involved in Music from a young age. She will aspire to inspire the musicians of tomorrow to the wonderful world of music...She has experienced several years in the recording studio and is managed by - D Management, and BBC Perth WA, for all solo and ensemble bookings. She has directed and performed in Musical Productions including: The Wizard of Oz, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, and Marco Polo (Camelot Theatre).Nikki Dagostino has completed a Bachelor of Music Education degree at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (ECU MOUNT LAWLEY) with a major in Music and minor in Drama (BMusEd 2005).
